Catherine Birthday #6

Happy Birthday my sweet Catherine girl!!!

I am just so beyond grateful that I have a girl to be my best friend for life! There is a good chance that she might be the only girl we have and boy am I lucky to have her! She is so much like me in many ways and I just have a feeling that we will aways be buddies! I love you sweetie! I am so blessed that you chose me to be your mom!

• Catherine loves school!! Currently in Kindergarten doing half day but she can't wait to be in first grade where she will get to be there all day! Her teacher says she is so kind to everyone and such a joy to have in her class. She also says she is really smart and has a strong desire to learn! Catherine loves to pretend read at home to McKay. She can't wait until she can full on read!
• She is a big helper to me...when she wants to be! haha 
• She loves to play with McKay when he is in a nice and playful mood. Sometimes he can be a big tease and he knows how to get a BIG reaction out of Catherine....lots of screaming from her! 
• She can't wait to have a new baby in the home to help mother....it comes so natural to her! 
• She loves playing all sports with Caden. She is going to be a natural little athlete!
• She is still currently in dance and tumbling. She loves both but especially tumbling! She is a NATURAL!! She always loves to show off her tricks. She can do back walk overs, super fast cartwheels, flips on the tramp and much more!
• She likes to sleep in...just like her mommy!
• She loves to get her hair and nails done...I just love how she is so girly that way but will still wrestle with Caden and dad and go play sports with the boys! Lately she has figured out how to do her own hair in a pony tail! So nice for me that I don't always have to do her hair! 
• She loves playing with barbies. I think she mostly just likes to dress them up and do their hair. But she loves it when she gets one on one time with grandma or Beckie playing barbies! 
• She is definitely not scared of worms! She loves to hold them! Same with lady bugs!

We celebrated Catherine's birthday a day early on March 20th because then it could be on a Saturday to do her surprise birthday party! Friday night Chris and I spent a good half hour blowing up a TON of balloons to surprise her with when she woke up in the morning. Luckily we had the air compressor that saved a lot of time. It was Chris's idea to have lots of balloons and get the huge ones! Saturday morning after Chris got back from the store with the kids he took Catherine on a daddy daughter date. We had told her that basically this was all she was getting for her birthday and that we weren't doing a big party this year because of Corona still haha. On their date they went to the equestrian place and saw a girl riding a horse. They chatted with her for a few minutes when she offered to let Catherine ride the horse! Catherine was so excited. Close by to that is a little elk farm that they went and checked out. Then they went to the bike shop and bought her a new bike helmet! They then went and got some lunch together! She loved every minute of their date. They arrived home at perfect timing when I had all her friends that we had invited ready to surprise her. We wanted to keep the party small and only invited 3 friends: Ethan, Ruby, and Annie. They surprised Catherine really well, she had no idea of the party! They all really enjoyed playing with the balloons! I had created an activity where they could color and decorate their own t-shirts. It was a big hit and even Caden really enjoyed doing that! We then opened presents, played a couple games, and ended with cheesecake!! The party was a success!!
