6.4-6.20 (Sometimes our trips don't always go the way we imagine it to go)
We have been wanting to go to Fish Lake Utah for awhile now. We finally decided to go. We drove down to Meadow and spent the night at grandma's house and then left early the next day. This was McKay's first camping trip! It started out really good! We had fun kayaking and had a surprise with these helicopters landing right next to us. They came and told us that we could bring the kids over to check them out! So Cool! Kids had a fun time exploring and tossing rocks into the lake while Chris fished. We attempted to get McKay down for a nap, but with no luck. Luckily he was still happy and enjoying it all. Everything changed that night though! McKay fell right to sleep around 9pm. People camping next to us showed up at 10pm to set up camp and eat dinner blasting their punk rap music. We could hear everything (f words and all). It woke McKay up who had maybe been sleeping for 45 min. We were all up just laying there just listening when McKay threw up all over me and my sleeping bag at 12:30. Mind you it was also close to 40 degrees outside and I don't do well with cold and throw-up! By 1 am Chris finally went and talked to them and they just said they would turn down their music. Poor Chris was having an anxiety attack this whole time. McKay threw up again around 1:30, luckily outside the tent. By 2 they finally stopped talking and were in their tents. But right as we were all starting to fall asleep the biggest thunderstorm and lightning and huge rain and wind kept us all awake until it stopped which was probably around 6am. There were definitely tears by me by this point! We were all soaked, smelled like throw up and were exhausted. We were packed up and left by 9 am!!! Sadly our camping trip ended early and on a bad note. We had originally planned to go back to to grandma's house for home church but after that dreadful night we left straight for home. As soon as we got home McKay and Chris went to sleep around 1 and didn't get up until about 5:30!

6.16.20 Happy Birthday to ME! Caden and Catherine told me not to get out of bed until they said I could! They brought me breakfast in bed (oatmeal, toast, and orange juice)!! They took care of McKay and wouldn't let me come out until they had cleaned the whole house! BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER! I stayed in my room until about 10 am! This was Completely their idea! My present to myself was buying plants for my waterfall. The kids made me cards and a necklace! Chris bought me a hammock! I love it and now I can relax in it next to my waterfall! I also received a wonderful card from My in-laws! Matt/ Kaitlin and Bridger/ Bri came for a BBQ and we had CHEESE CAKE!!! YUM! It was a fantastic birthday!

6.21.20 Happy Fathers Day! Couldn't ask for a better Father to our kids! He is so fun, patient and kind with them. He is so good about being calm and talking with the kids when they are being not so good. We love you Chris! The kids AND I (I am not a morning person so this is a huge gift) got up early to make Chris breakfast in bed of his choice. He wanted Biscuits and Gravy! Afterwards we all got ready for church and had a wonderful Sunday Home Church. We then decided it would be fun to go on a little Sunday friendly hike and have a picnic. We hiked up again to Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir and had our lunch there. We decided that this would probably be the last time we hike this one for awhile and really wanted to try and make it up the Upper Bell Canyon to the waterfall. We have heard that it is a Huge waterfall and only a couple more miles to get there. We decided to go for it! Well so much for Sunday friendly hike! It was ROUGH!! Round trip it was about 4 1/2 miles but the hike from the reservoir to the waterfall was probably a little over 1 1/2 all strenuous up hill! Lots of boulders and very steep! Chris had McKay on his back and every once in a while I would carry Caden or Catherine. This hike would have been hard for me even without kids! But I am so proud of them for pushing it through to the end! Lots of sweat went into this hike and lots of stopping to put our hats in the freezing water to cool ourselves off. The waterfall was beautiful and going back down was much easier! What a fun, hard, and adventurous day we will never forget!

6.23-25.20 I decided to take the kids down to Meadow to spend Caden's birthday down there. All on a separate post!
