July 2019

Busy month full of lots of fun activities but I think we are ready for a staycation. We had fun with the Whittington Reunion until they left on the 8th. We were lucky to be able to celebrate Chris's birthday with them here. Then a few days later Chris went on his brothers hiking/camping/fishing trip. This was part of Chris's birthday present. The day after they got back we had FHE Sunday where we got to sing happy birthday to Chris with his family. We had a week to get work done, which includes our House to Home stuff in the garage and lots of editing pictures for LuLu&Roo. On the 20th we went down to Meadow for the Freeman Reunion which was packed full of activities! On the 27th we went to Aunt Linda's for a Pioneer Breakfast! Great way to end the month!
McKay: 16 months old
he is teething again, which seems to be always. He gets crankier and more energetic/wild. haha I am trying to have him not take his morning nap and let him sleep in the morning instead but not sure if it will work. He seems to still need that morning nap. He does so well to wake up around 8am and take a hour nap at 10 and then still take a 3 hour nap at 2. He is way into Baby shark doo doo song and he is climbing on everything! He loves to be outside and play with the kitty. It is so fun with all the words he is saying these days. He loves to do whatever Caden and Catherine are doing.

We are all loving the kitty! I especially like it, brings back many memories from my childhood. It is so fun to see McKay play with it. That kitty is so patient with him. I love how the kitty will hide in the garden and then jump out at Catherine when she goes to pick raspberries...Scares her every time.

He is trying so hard to be like his older siblings!

Our Beautiful garden until the squash bugs and gophers started destroying it.

I took the kids to go get a little treat! McKay was being so silly!

Our celebration of Chris's birthday while the Whittiers were here. Happy Birthday Chris!

FHE Sunday: Singing to July Birthdays! Love this tradition!

Brothers Hiking trip
July 10th-13th Wind River Wyoming
Chris says it was a lot of fun. They hiked about a total of 35-40 miles! There were a million mosquitos but they caught a lot of fish which made it worth it. Chris caught over 50 fish. There were parts with snow but otherwise perfect weather. They loved not seeing hardly any other people. Beautiful scenery. Overall it was exactly what Chris needed at this time, he has been dealing with a lot of health issues probably due to stress. This will be a wonderful trip spending time with his brothers in nature that he will always remember!

While Chris was gone I took the kids to our favorite Bahama Bucks and introduced the kids to Sushi because I was craving it and Chris doesn't like it...haha

Selfies we sent to dad while he was gone! :)

When Chris got back he let me and Catherine go with Kaitlin to get a pedicure!

Enjoying the nice July Weather! Cute naked baby!

Freeman Family Reunion 20th-23rd is in a separate post!!
When we got back from the reunion we did our own little 24th Celebration. I was bummed that we weren't able to spend it in Meadow this year but it was in the middle of the week and we had already took off so much work this month.

The kids performed a puppet show for us, it was super cute!

Pioneer Breakfast at Aunt Linda's! It was so fun spending the morning with this group of people! They put on a wonderful pioneer lesson too. Great reminder of our ancestors!
