Mckay: 3 months old
- Most of the time he drinks 6 oz every 3 hours, occasionally less. He will drink the whole bottle straight without stopping to burp now. However he usually always spits up at least once. He is just a spit up baby!
- He also sometimes will take a cat nap in the afternoons and will go down for the night at 8pm. He has been sleeping so good at night. Every night this month even when we were in Boise he has slept at least 10 hrs! This last week of this month he has done several 11 hr stretches! SO GOOD! He has done only once a full 12 hr stretch. That was weird for me. I had woken up and had to go check on him and make sure he was ok and he was just waking up once I went in!
- He is smiling a ton! We love it! However, he usually only stays happy for about 15 min and then he wants to be held. But while he is happy we thoroughly enjoy it! He makes us happy.
- A couple of times he has come very close to laughing. It is so cute!
- He is SOO wiggly! I think he is more wiggly than what Catherine was and that is saying a lot! The only time he holds still besides when he is sleeping is when I hold him facing outward with my arm across his tummy...that is his favorite way to be held.
- He loves bath time! He will be super fussy and crying but the minute I turn on the bath tub he will stop crying and start kicking and smiling. He gets lots of baths! haha
- I also think he is going to be a climber or something. He might just skip rolling (which he has not even attempted) and go straight to crawling. When we put him on his tummy over our leg he will start climbing.
- He has recently discovered his hands. He loves to suck his hands and arms. He is such a slobbery baby. He has been fighting me on his binky lately too which is so annoying. But usually the minute he takes it he will start to fall asleep. Maybe that is why he doesn't like it because he knows that means bed time. He also knows that going in his room means bed time too because he usually starts to cry the minute I go in there. silly boy
- He also doesn't like you to sit down when you are holding him. Very strange because you could be holding him the exact same way as when you are standing but the minute you sit he will start to cry! Can be very exhausting.
- He is such grunter and noisy. Makes being at church a little difficult. But we still love you! :)
- He doesn't like his car seat. He usually cries the minute you put him in. He will be happy if I stay back there in the car by him though. Definitely won't take naps in his car seat! bummer
Caden working on his computer school. He is getting so smart! He is learning to read. So FUN!
I just love my super smily baby!
Catherine and I had a girls night when Chris and Caden went to Father's and sons. Catherine and I had hamburgers and french fries for dinner and then after we got McKay to bed we watched Tangled in my bed and had popcorn. I let her sleep in bed with me! I did not sleep very well. She kept touching me the whole night to make sure I was still there. Haha The next morning we painted our nails together. I am so glad that I have a girl to be my buddy and friend when the boys are gone!
Fathers and Sons!!! They had a ton of fun. In the morning they went and hiked Donut Falls! Caden had fun with all of his friends his age that went.
Swimming at Amy and Aaron's pool. Kids are definitely getting better and more brave.
At The Clayton's house after James's baby blessing.
Mutual night we went and hiked donut falls! It was so pretty up there! Felt so good to get out of the house and have a little break from the kiddos. I just love these girls!
On our way to Boise!!!! The kids did about as well as I thought. We had to stop a couple of times to feed McKay and do potty breaks. But overall not bad. On the way back was a whole different story. We couldn't get home soon enough.
Courtlyn and Brooklyn were super nice to give our kids swim lesson while we were there. The kids have improved a lot!
They Deana's family was so great to celebrate my birthday and take me out to dinner. We went to Cafe Rio and got me a tres leche to sing me happy birthday...Yum! After dinner we went to see The Incredibles in the movie theater. We even took Mckay to the movie and he did really good. He slept practically the whole time. He even slept through the really loud parts, that surprised me!
Happy Fathers Day! Chris is an Awesome Dad! We love you Chris! For Fathers day he got to take a really good long nap with the kids and then Deana had prepared a wonderful fathers day meal!
On Monday I went and saw the dermatologist and had to get a mole removed that was cancerous! I also got a bunch of warts removed off of the bottom of my feet. I was sore for a couple weeks after that! However Monday night Eric had a fun FHE planned and Caden really had fun trying to get the bolt out of flour using only his mouth.
Once we got back from Boise we had a birthday party for Caden with all of his friends. That is all on a separate post. After Caden's party Chris surprised me with strawberry days rodeo tickets for my birthday...kind of a tradition. Matt and Kaitlin came and watched the kids. Thank YOu!! I so needed that night off and go out on a date with my man! The rodeo was fun as usual...Jr. was there too, can't believe he is still doing it! haha
This was after he had slept 12 hours straight! I just love my cute little boy!
First day of soccer! So fun that they can both be on the same team. Caden did awesome! So much more improvement from last year. He was so excited and kept telling us that he was not going to stay by Sam. haha it was funny that he noticed that was what he did last year because he was afraid, but not this year. He even made the first goal of the game! Catherine was very nervous and didn't want to go out. We got her to go out once with Caden but she kept grabbing his shirt not wanting him to leave her but he just wanted to go fast after the ball. We got her to go out one more time when Gracie and Ben went out. But after that she stayed by us. Hopefully the next game she will be more brave!
Chris finally cut his hair even though I like the curls.
