May 2018

This month we have been mostly doing a lot of yard work. We are trying to get our backyard fixed up the way we want it and also getting all of our garden ready to plant. But we did have some fun things happen. We bought a trampoline which the kids love!! Caden went to a friends (from school) birthday party. We had FHE Sunday. Caden's preschool graduation. I Can't believe he is done with preschool and will be going to Kindergarten in the fall! Crazy! Charlotte and her two girls came over to play and visit. Catherine and I got to go to Emma's state track meet. We were able to attend the Jordan River Temple dedication. For mother's day Chris gave me a wonderful foot massage. I hosted a baby "Bath" for Kaitlin and then on the 27th we blessed McKay. After the blessing Chris's parents stayed for a week. While they were here they all went camping while I stayed at my parents house with McKay.  It was a great way to end the month!
Just an update on Chris and I. I am still with the Young Woman as the Laurel advisor. Chris is now the second counselor in the Elders Quorum with this new set up as no more High Priest. Chris was relieved about that.  Chris has also had a lot of great work opportunities lately, which has been awesome but very busy and stressful. He still has his full time job with the sofa source which his amazon portion has been doing great. He recently has been approached by this John guy to be his partner in selling products off of Amazon. If he can do a good job, it will be awesome for us. He has also had a few people wanting him to be a Amazon consultant to help them and Chris would get a profit of their sells. Maybe some day we will do our own product! Chris is such a hard worker and still finds time for his family. Tricky balance but he is amazing at it, we are so blessed to have him!

McKay: 2 month old
  • 2 month  Dr. Appointment: Weight: 11.12 lbs. 54%  Height: 23.5 in. 70%   Head: 15.4 in. 32%
  • His eating and sleeping schedule is almost exactly like what Catherine's was. He eats 4 oz. every three hours, on occasion 5 oz. He will drink 6 oz. right before bed.
  • At the beginning of the month would wake up sometime between 2-4 am. By the end of the month he was waking up around 5-7 am. He has done one 11 hour stretch! He is a Champ!
  • Just like Catherine he also likes sleeping on his tummy. His neck strength is so strong that it does not bother me. The only problem we have is that sometimes he scoots himself forward until his head is hitting the crib and that makes him cry, that has only happened a few times.
  • Most of this month he has had to be burped after every oz. but by the end of the month he can go about 2 oz. before needing to be burped.
  • I can lay him down awake but sleepy and he will go to sleep well. Love it!
  • He will play on the floor for about 15 min after I feed, burp, and change diaper then gets fussy.
  • He will take a binky if I hold it there long enough. Which is nice once he does take it but again it is kind of like Catherine, so I am afraid that eventually he will stop taking it all together.
  • He loves bath time! He will be super tired and fussy but the minute I turn on the bath he stops crying. Once in the water he will kick and splash for at least 10 minutes. So fun.
  • He has been smiling a lot and on the verge of laughing. We love it when he miles while eating or has his binky in his mouth.
  • When he is about cry he will do the saddest frowny face.
  • He loves Daddy's voice. He will be fussing and then Chris will come over and start talking to him and he will stop crying and just look up into his eyes.
  • He has been figuring out his voice and making lots of fun noises.
  • When he was born he looked a lot like Catherine but now he is getting his own look. His hair is looking blonde! not sure on eyes yet!
Catherine and Caden absolutely love their little brother! They love to feed him and help take care of him! They love him so much that some times I have to tell them to back off and give him space! haha Catherine is such a sweet little mother to him and her other baby dolls. They both like to call him "McKay kay"! super cute!

Some of McKay's cute facial expressions. He was talking and smiling so much.

FHE Sunday. It surprised me that Catherine wanted to sit on Kinsee's lap to help her blow out her candle. She loves playing with her cousins.

Here is the process of our back yard. Just got the window well covers and starting to dig a sandbox.

Caden at his friends b-day party! He had fun and is really going to miss his preschool friends.

Fun pictures from preschool. Thank you Miss Amy! We will miss you!

Graduation Day! Afterwards we celebrated by going to in-and-out Burger.

Caden did awesome in his graduation program. I was so surprised by how loud he sang! His part that he memorized was "Apple, Peaches, Pears, and Plums. I will tell you when your birthday comes" He also had to say what he wanted to be when he grows up. He said that he wanted to be a daddy and a football player when he grows up!

He was exhausted from his long eventful day.
Catherine and I went to Emma's State Track meet where she took 2nd place in the discuss! It was so nice of Chris to let me go out with Catherine. I love going to track meets, it brings back so many fun memories. Catherine fell asleep in the car haha.

I put Mckay in this cute outfit and then Catherine and Caden went and got their big brother and sister shirts on....They absolutely insisted on it! I love my cute kids!

While Grandma and Grandpa Huntington were here Grandma let Caden build his own creations.

I loved seeing Grandpa Freeman hold McKay while I was down in Meadow. I also got to help my parents out quite a bit. I helped clean the house, plant corn, and trim all of the trees in the front yard. It felt good to be home and help out!

Pictures from their Camping trip in Beaver mountains. The kids did great and they caught a lot of fish on the first day. Caden even caught a fish all by himself! Chris also said that when they were making their tin foil dinners Catherine grabbed some of the raw meat and ate a good chunk of it. Luckily she did not get sick and throw up! Crazy girl!
