Catherine:
Our friends The Huntsmans came to utah! We met up with them for lunch and then I went with them to a little splash pad! The kids had fun. I also got to go to Becca's baby shower!
Chris probably wouldn't like me posting this picture but i thought it was so funny how excited Caden was to show me how he had gotten my high heals on! haha got to say, I think he walks better in them than what I do! haha
- At her 4 month appointment she weighed: 13 lb. 10.5 oz. 33% Length: 25 inch. 66% Head: 40cm. 26% . So she is just a long skinny baby with a small head. haha
- Her schedule has been kind of thrown off with all that has been going on. But this is ideally what I would want: 8am wake and eat about 6oz. 10am go down for nap. 11am Eat 5-6oz. 1pm Nap. 2pm Eat 5-6oz. 4pm Nap. 5pm Eat 5-6oz. Down for night by 8 with a 6oz bottle right before. But she has been waking up around 4 or 5 in the morning eating and going back to bed until about 8am. She sometimes wants to eat every 3 hours but often every 4 hours.
- A couple months ago we switched her to the Costco brand of formula but just recently switched back to gentle ease Enfamil. She just didn't seem to be doing well on the other kind. She was more fussy and would often only eat 2 oz at her feedings! So frustrating because the Costco brand is half the price of the Enfamil.
- On July 2nd she rolled over from her tummy to her back for her first time. It has been frustrating because she doesn't like being on her back so it fully wakes her up. I am excited for the day she can roll the other way as well.
- I love how she has been laughing more. It is funny to hear her try and laugh because she hasn't quite figured out how to just give a natural laugh, it sounds kind of forced. haha
- She is growing quickly! No!! I don't have any more clothes! I need to go to yard sales I guess. She is now in size 3-6 month clothes, but I have been making the 3 month clothes work as long as I can. I still put her in the 0-3 month size pants! Good thing it is summer because they are more like capris on her. haha she is so long!
- She is very strong. She can lift her head up so well when she is on her tummy. She can also sit fairly well with the poppy pillow around her.
- She thinks it is funny when we pretend sneeze! That is one way to get her to laugh!
- She loves me!! Usually when someone else is holding her she will look for me and once we get eye contact she will smile! I love it! I love her!
Caden:
- This boy cracks me up! Can't believe how old he acts to me. He is a very smart boy. I love him so so much!
- All the travels this month haven't effected him in any bad way. He has been taking good naps! and ever since we got back from Boise he has been sleeping like 14 hours at night. We will put him to bed at 8pm and some mornings he doesn't wake up until 10 or 10:30 in the morning!! Crazy! I have loved it! Catherine on the other hand has already woken up 3 times! haha He must be growing or something! Even though I can't imagine him growing any more than what he already is!
- He got out of his crib!!! Oh man I couldn't believe it! I was sitting on the couch and he came in so proud. It startled me and I wanted to laugh, he was so proud. But I knew I shouldn't laugh because then he would only do it again. So instead I think my reaction scared him because he hasn't done it since. I know he can because if we are just playing in his room I have seen him crawl in and out of his crib. But for naps he is very obedient and stays in. So far (nock on wood) we haven't had any more problems.
- He is pretty good listening to me and doing as I say. He will throw things away for me if I ask, or put the bottle in the fridge for me (however he usually comes back with a string cheese, haha). However there are those times that I will ask him to do something and he will say NO! and if I ask him louder or in a more serious angry tone he will sometimes say NOO in a louder more serious tone! haha But I have found that doing the counting to 1 2 3 works really well for him. I have rarely gotten to 3, but if I do I will put him in time out in his crib. and even then he won't climb out even though I know he can. After him being in the crib for a few minutes he is usually super obedient. and usually don't have too much problem with him not obeying for the next few days. He is a good boy! He knows to listen to me, but he hasn't quite figured that out with dad...Dad is too nice and only gives threats and hardly ever acts on the threats! haha I guess I will just have to be the mean strict one.
- Some funny things about Caden: he loves his blue blanket that he has had since he was a baby. I even found the exact same material and made another one so I could take turns washing them, but he knows the difference. He likes to stick his finger in the edge of the corner on the blanket while sucking his thumb. Oh boy! I don't really like how attached he is to it. I have always said that I don't want my kids to have things like that. But it happened. He takes that thing everywhere, even nursery! I really wish he didn't and eventually I will have to get him to be ok with out it everywhere! But right now with Catherine, it is just easier to let him have it!
- Another funny thing: Caden hates flies! For the longest time he was so afraid of them. I think it is because a mosquito stung him on the cheek and really hurt him. From then on he has been terrified of them. Lately he is better. We have been trying to teach him that they don't hurt you and to just say SHO Fly and wave your hand. It is funny when he sees a fly because he says "eye".
- The noise from up stairs scares him. So we taught him that it is ok, it is just Elephants!! haha so now when ever he hears noise from the footsteps or whatever, he goes "(the elephant noise)" with his hand up in the air like the trunk! haha
- I can't wait for him to start speaking really well. I understand his language and most people catch on fairly quickly. Here are some: sit down- "ba ba ba" while usually patting his hand of where he wants you to sit. Fly- "eye". Mom, Dad, car, go, no, and poopy is really good and so is baby, but Catherine is still "gaga". Megan(his cousin)- "Meh Meh". Marla- "la la". Movie and smoothie- "Mee mee". Blanky- With his mouth shut and pointing to his hand(he made that up) "gn gnn". Water- "wa wa"(with his hand going in cupping shape up to his mouth). puppy- "bubby". Get out- "ya yow". He still just makes the sounds for most things, like cars, animals, air planes, etc. He has also made up a lot of his own signs. Like the blanket, and food he will put his fingers up at his lips as if he is pinching his lips while going "uuuum" while sticking his jaw out and going back and forth with the jaw! haha There are lots more words and such, I just can't think of them off the top of my head. He is really good at saying "umm I don't know" haha
- Potty train!! oh boy! not looking forward to that process but ready for him to be trained. I think he can do it now. So I think once we get back from Colorado I am going to go for it!! AWW
So Megan has been Awesome!! She has come over twice this month to watch our kids. The first time was so that Chris and I could go to the temple and the second was so Chris and I could just go out on a date. We went to Tucanos and a movie-Jerasic World. She ended up staying that whole weekend! I loved having her here. She is super cute and makes us laugh! It was also nice having an extra hand! haha Emma came and stayed Sunday and that night with me so I could take her to the BYU track camp the next morning. It was fun being able to take her around campus getting her settled in. I also got to see me BYU track coach after I dropped Emma off! That was cool. Haven't seen him in a couple years! Made me miss being there and throwing. Anyway, Emma was fun! That sunday that Emma was with us we got Megan and took them both with us to Chris's Aunts house for sunday dinner and games! I think that they both had a lot of fun!

Happy 4th of July!!!!
2015 4th of July was really fun!
In the morning me, Chris, Katlyn, Matt, and Kerry went and played tennis and then afterwards went swimming. Thank you Grandma Kathy for watching our kids so we could go play!! We then came back for Coulsen's Birthday party. We played and enjoyed hanging out with family!
We had the Traditional KFC for dinner along with the special Grandma Green Drink!! That night we enjoyed some fireworks. We couldn't stay too long because we had to get our kids home to bed. but the ride home was awesome with all of the fireworks going off in Utah valley. We went home got kids to bed and laid out on the grass and watched more fireworks just the two of us! That was Fun. Brought back memories of when we were dating!

On July 7th, Chris turned 28!!!
Happy Birthday Chris!
We had the best day ever in celebration of his birthday! I am SO SO glad that I got to share this day with him! We drove up to Grandma's house in Sandy to drop off our kids. Grandma and Grandpa Huntington were so kind to watch our kids for us! We then drove up to Ogden and first went to eat lunch at Costa Veda. We then went sky diving!!!!.........In doors!! That was Awesome! But we were both so so nervous at first. I wish I could have gotten some pictures of us actually flying but they wouldn't let us take our phones! Chris did really good! I guess I was to stiff! It is harder then it looks! You have to bend in half backwards, keep your arms our in front, keep your chin up, and Relax! So fun! I was shaking afterwards! haha hen we went to Flowrider right after! That was my favorite! I was kind of nervous at first and was shaking super bad when I first stood up on the board! haha but after a while I started getting better. Chris did awesome! I started getting pretty good at the board where you lay down. I was able to do three barrel roles in a row! Definitely harder than what it looks.
After Flowrider we went directly to Rock climbing! Wow by this time we were Sooo exhausted, we felt like we got beat up! So we weren't able to stay too long at rock climbing. We both went up a few times and that was all we could do! Yes we are old and wimps! haha. And Finally we ended Chris's Birthday Date by getting some Ice-cream! When we got back to grandma's house, Chris's parents had a nice little birthday surprise for Chris. They had a Ice-cream cake and a few presents for him! We both had a Fabulous day!!

We went hiking to Cecret Lake!!! Shhhh don't tell anyone! haha ;) It was absolutely beautiful! wild flowers everywhere! I loved it! It was a little chilly but the kids did great. We got up to the lake in time for lunch. Catherine took a little nap and then we had to hike back down to beat a storm that was rolling in. Sadly for Chris there were no fish up there! It was a perfect hike for Caden though! He as a champ. He hiked most of the way up and back! Almost 2 miles up and 2 miles back! That is pretty good for a 2 year old. He loved throwing rocks in the water!

A The Red Barn. The Cherry Pit Spitting Contest. Making this a traditional thing to go to. It was fun having Megan there with us. I barely got bumped out of finals. I spit 29ft. Chris made it into Finals with a 55ft spit putting him in second going into final. Once in finals the slates are clean and they each have three more attempts. He spit a 60ft.!! Putting him in first! We thought for sure he was going to win. but then this guy on his last spit shot it out to about 70ft.! Darn....going from a high to a low!! it was still fun. We obviously got ice cream afterwards too!
