2015 Freeman Family Reunion

Tuesday July 21, 2015
Chris worked a half day and then we left to go to Boise Idaho.

On our way to my sister, Deana's house, we stopped at Shoshone Falls. It was a perfect time to stop so I could feed Catherine. The drive to Boise took us about 6 hours including the time we stopped. Both Catherine and Caden did Awesome!!

We got there in time to get the kids ready for bed and down for the night!
haha he is so proper...he sleeps with his legs crossed! He learned that in high priest! jk haha
Wednesday
We met up with Melinda and Eric Malmgren and their friends to go boating. We left super early, around 6 am. We woke Caden up to take him with us. Deana was so nice to watch Catherine for us while we went boating. We stayed out on the lake until about noon! Caden was awesome! He enjoyed playing on the beach and watching them wake board. He eventually fell asleep in my arms while on the boat. Great times!

When we got back from boating, Caden went down for a nap! He was so sleepy! After naps we took Caden to the Dentist for his first time! Uncle Eric is a dentist and just did a happy visit! Caden was super shy and wouldn't let them see his teeth. haha but it didn't matter. The whole point was to make it a happy, not a scary appointment. He got a little gift bag with a sticker, airplane, toothbrush, and toothpaste. He loved the gift!
Waiting in the waiting area.

Wednesday afternoon, we did a bubble ball event for my sister's ward mutual. Eric is the bishop of the ward. They all had a great time. It was our first bubble ball event so we were a little scattered and felt chaotic. But it was a good learning experience.

My Nephew Brian is such a good looking Man!
Go Brian!

Wednesday night other families started showing up for the Reunion.

2015 Freeman Family Reunion
-officially started Thursday July 23rd. Thank you Deana for putting this reunion together and organizing it. I am so glad that we all got together. I was surprised at how many showed up without having mom and dad there. But I am so glad that they did because it turned out to be so So much fun!
This is everyone that came to the reunion: Beckie, Greg, Tiana, Nash, Kylie, Deana, Eric, Brian, Jorgan, Cortlyn, Brooklyn, Garren, Marla, Kyle, Emma, Heidi, Amie, Kaylee, Macie, Cannon, Jenell, Owen, Jed, Mary, Luke, Abiguale, Ruby, Henry, Amber, Chris, Caden, and Catherine! (We had all the sisters together except for one) Almost half the family, pretty good!!

Thursday
Deana had a wonderful breakfast prepared. After breakfast everyone went rafting and then to a rope swing. I stayed with Caden, Henry and Catherine. They were able to take good naps and play. They are just too little to got rafting down the river.

They all had lots of fun rafting down the river. They had fun trying to get each other into the river. My sisters were trying so hard to get Chris in. At the end Marla finally got him. But don't worry, he got her back! haha Glad they all had so much fun.

Thursday night after we got our kids down for the night, we did a bubble ball event for the Malmgrens! They all had so much fun and it was lots of fun to watch them!

Friday, July 24th
After breakfast we went to the park. At the park we had some games: bubble balls (we brought two and played Sumo), cherry pit spit contest, gymnastics (I can still do a round off back flip!), and the teenagers brought water balloons and then played brick tag on the playground.  That night we had a 24th program. Owen talked about the pioneers and then Deana talked about some of our ancestors that crossed the plains. It was a great program.  After the program we had a big pool party (Deana has a pool at their house.) We have been swimming almost every day but this swim party was especially fun. When it got dark enough, we had movie playing on a screen outside the pool. The movie was Jaws!! It was too cold to stay in the pool but it was fun watching a movie outside!
We had lots of fun playing with this great group of teens. We especially enjoyed playing Sweetish twister. Kind of awkward but very fun! I was very sore from that game! haha
At the Park!

24th Program!

Owen talking about the Pioneers!

Such a good group of kids!! Cousins!!!
We had a wonderful BBQ for dinner!

Pool Party!!

It was so fun! We had a swim version of a wrestling match! haha I went against Emma, Courtlyn, and Tiana (one at a time). I was declared the Champion. Chris went up against Adam and won. There were a bunch of other matches but i can't remember who went up against who and who won! It was a workout and so much fun!

Caden started to relax more in the pool, but only with Chris.

Doing Cannon ball competitions. haha Kyle "Think Big"

Saturday
After breakfast everyone went hiking and then to another rope swing. The hike was way to steep, long and hot for us with our two kids. So we took Caden to a discovery museum. He had so much fun at the museum. We hated to miss out on the hike and being with the family but I am so glad that we did.

On their Hike!
Us at the Discovery Museum!
Bubbles!

I think Chris had more fun with the bubbles than Caden! haha

Once we all got back to the house, we got ready and went to Garren's Baptism! It was special to see Garren's older brother and roommate, Brian be the one to baptize Garren.

After the baptism we had a Luau!! For dinner Deana had made a wonderful Hawiian haystack meal with a pina colada cake! So yummy! After dinner we had the traditional search for money in the sad box. Thanks Beckie for keeping this tradition alive! Deana's family is going to be finding money for a long time because we definitely did not find all of the money that she put in there.

I think the reason no one was finding money was because Caden was probably sitting on it all! haha He just sat there, probably so confused, while everyone was searching around him.

We had a luau competition of who could dress up the most! WE won!!!! We won this Measuring Board! Love it! THanks Deana!

Thanks again Deana! The reunion was a success and so much fun! Everyone left Sunday morning, Including ourselves. We left around 8 to get back for Heath and Anika's Baby blessing for Bonnie at 2. We drove straight there without stopping. The kids were awesome! Made it in 5 hours! Got there by 1:30. We were all so So exhausted that we all went to sleep early that night and Caden slept in until 10:30 the next morning!  I love my family so much! Grateful to be able to spend time with those that came!!!
