The Huntington Family: March 2014

We were so blessed to have Chris's parents come and stay here with us. It is crazy to me how the days are just flying by, which I am so grateful for because then we will hopefully have summer here before I know it. I will believe it when I see it!

Caden: 9 months old

9 month Dr. Appointment: Weight: 28 lbs. Height: 32 in. Holy smokes. He is growing so fast!
He is officially crawling! He is fast too!
He is getting more playful. But still doesn't get the idea that he is supposed to run away when we say "I am going to get you", instead he puts his head down and comes charging at us. haha
He learned to stand up in his crib!!! Aw!! First week or so of this was a challenge because he wouldn't sit back down. I would go in there finding him standing up resting his head on the rim of the crib while sucking his thumb. haha So relieved that he has figured out how to sit down!
It is so fun how he can go from his stomach to sitting, to standing so easily now. It is funny when he wants to sit down once he is done standing. He will just let go and plop down on his bum. Brave little boy!
As of last week he is now only having 3 8oz. bottles at each meal time and one right before bed. He pretty much eats whatever we are eating. He loves breads, crackers, and his puffs!
He has been getting into a lot more things now, especially the books. So we bought a strap to tie around the bookshelf to hold the books in.
He especially likes to get into the dish washer! Every time I open it he will quickly come to it!
He is officially crawling now! no more army crawling! He is cruising now!!
Caden is so ticklish. It is so fun and funny to get him laughing from being tickles. He is mostly ticklish on his sides, but his feet and pretty much everywhere is ticklish.
He still says "Ma" and "Da" but I don't think they are directed to us yet. but one day I said to Caden "Come to mama" and he said "maaa....m" and came to me. I love how he understands when I say come here and he will come!
I think that it is cute how he he follows me everywhere that I got. However sometimes I wish that he would just sit and play while I get things done without tripping over him. :) He always wants to be right where I am and doing whatever I am doing.
He loves to climb over me like a jungle gym when I lay down on the floor.
When he is tired he does not like to be touched! haha just like me! haha He will also sometimes throw his head back. That scares me because I am usually not expecting it and he about hurts himself. He will also pull his hair when he get frustrated! Silly boy!
I don't think that he understand the meaning of "NO" yet! So frustrating....He will roll over when I am changing him every time. I tell him "no" and the will just smile and do it again!
We are now down to 2 naps!! one at 9 am for about an hour and then another at 2 for about two hours! Makes it nice to got out and about.
He loves standing up against the glass door and banging on it!!
favorite book- "Moo Baa LaLaLa"
Favorite toy-Loves his dog that makes noise. Grandma Freeman gave it to him. Both of these he smiles and gets excited for every time.
March 15th he got his 5th tooth! March 18th he got his 6th tooth!! Long week that was!
One night Caden got super hyper and Chris was feeding Caden. Caden took his bottle out of his mouth and tried putting it in daddy's mouth! haha
One day it started snowing again in March and as I was looking out the window watching it come down I yelled "NOO". It scared Caden and he started crying, but I like to think that he was crying because it was snowing too. haha We are so sick of the snow and ready for summer. We need to get out and get sunshine!
Church is difficult because nap time is at this time. However as of the past few weeks Caden has fallen asleep in my arms during relief society. Makes it nice that I can actually listen, However, I think I know why he falls asleep...it is so warm in there that I have a hard time not falling asleep. but sadly I can't because my arm is usually asleep. He is so heavy!!
