August 30th-September2   Our virginia Trip!!! We went to go see Heath and Anika for their baby's blessing. Their baby is only 3 weeks younger than Caden. Long 6 hr. drive turned into 9 hours with Caden! It was worth it! Boys went to a BYU football game while I hung out with Anika and Marylou. Marylou took Anika and I out to dinner. We also went on a hike that was fun. We hiked about two miles up to a natural waterslide. The water was freezing! But so fun! Caden did awesome! I just carried him the whole way so Chris could play with Heath cliff jumping! So fun to see everyone and spend time with them!

CADEN IS 3 MONTHS OLD!!!

He now weight 18 lb. 15 oz. and 26 inches long! Still a growing boy. He seems to eat 6 oz. at each feeding now. Caden is a joy to have in our lives, he brings so much joy and happiness. He has been smiling so much, it is fun to be able to get him to smile now. I am sure that if someone was watching from outside, they would think that Chris and I look ridiculous at the weird faces we make to Caden. But apparently Caden thinks we are funny. I would love to know what goes on in our boys head, what he thinks about our funny faces.  Caden has gone about 3 straight weeks now of sleeping all the way through the night. We will lay him in his crib around 7 and he will put himself to sleep without hardly any crying. If he does cry it only last about a minute. He will sleep until about 6 or 7 in the morning! When he does wake up, he doesn't cry. I just hear him talking and sucking. Such a cute, good, and fun boy!! We love him so much.

I am trying to get him to play with toys and roll over. So far he doesn't seem too interested in the toys. And as far as rolling over, no attempts. He likes being on his back and not his tummy. He sometimes spits up when he is on his tummy. Too much weight on that full tummy I guess. 

 

He can stand up so good with us just holding onto his hands!!

 He has started sucking his thumb for about two weeks now. He won't take a binki but he loves to suck his thumb when he is hungry or soothing himself to sleep. So cute!

September 7th. We went to Ben and Christine's house to watch BYU crush Texas in a football game. That was fun! We had Caden in his BYU jersey all day!

I am now the new Achievement Day leader. I am super excited! It will be interesting when both Chris has mutual and I have achievement day on the same Tuesday nights at 7pm.

September 13-14th.  We had our friends Becca, Andrew, and their baby Taylor come stay with us for the weekend. It was fun having them here and their baby girl is only one month older than Caden. We enjoyed that weekend with them and with our friends Ben, Christine and their baby boy Sam. We went Bowling which I did horribly. I am much better when pregnant apparently.  We also went to the beach and collected sea glass. Wasn't sure if Caden liked the water or not. We all went to Olive Garden, even with the babies! Maybe not the best idea. All of our babies were super fussy and other people were staring! The women went to the mall leaving the babies with the men while they waited to be seated at Olive Garden. We came back to them all feeding them...it was so cute!! haha It was a great site to see three dads with three babies! That night we put Caden in his car seat to sleep at the Claytons while we played games. We had a blast playing reverse charades!!  I really embarrassed myself! WE had to act out break dance and I instantly tried to break dance by rolling on the floor trying to spin on my back... they all laughed so hard! haha Great memories!

Thanks Becca for the cute pillow you made. You might be able to see in this picture that Caden has been drooling so much too.

September 27-28th.  We went on a little family trip to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side and then to Palmyra NY to see the church sites. It was a lot of fun! There was only two things that made it not very fun however. Losing my wedding ring and having a fire alarm go off in the hotel and having to pack Caden up to go outside at 10:30 at night!!!! I am afraid my wedding ring is gone forever, but if someone ever goes to the Palmyra Temple, keep your eye out for my wedding ring. It is somewhere in the parking lot. Makes me so sick and very sad that I lost it!!! As for the fire alarm, we were lucky that Caden surprisingly slept through the whole thing. I thought for sure that loud alarm would wake him!! Guess we have a very deep deep sleeper...Thank goodness! :) Other than those two things we had Lots of fun! When we first got there we went to see the Niagara falls. It was so misty that we all were getting soaked! We debated between going on a boat to the bottom of the water fall or go being the water fall. We decided to go behind. To go underneath you wear a poncho...Caden had one on too, he looked so cute! After we went to lunch in the skyline tower that is super high right next to the falls. View was awesome!! After eating we went to a Butterfly Conservatory and Botanical garden. The butterfly place was so much fun, so many butterflies! Caden slept through it all haha! The gardens were very peaceful and relaxing! We stayed in a hotel that night when we had the issue with the fire alarm! The next day is when we went to the Palmyra Temple. So peaceful and you could definitely feel the spirit! We then went to the Hill Comorah. It was actually quite a hike! It wasn't until I got home that I realized what happened to my ring!
