August 1st: (Sunday) Chris was down for the weekend. That night he found a chance to ask my dad to marry me. I was so excited and happy. It was actually happening. Chris is really excited now, now that he wants to marry me and knows that I am the one for him. Once he went back up north, we both started working hard to earn money for each other and getting things ready for the wedding. He called the Manti Temple to reserve an opening and has been searching for an apartment for us to live in.
Not sure on exact date: Chris's work had a party at 7 Peaks!
Thursday August 5th: I went up north to stay for a couple of days. Once I get up there Chris and I went to Uncle Craig's house to look at the collection of rings and diamonds that they have. It was kind of weird at first and I didn't know what exactly to do, but it was fun! That night we went boating w/ Shane and Jamie out on the lake. We waked board, which was So much fun. Afterwards Chris and I quickly got food to eat and then went and played volleyball. Both Chris and I didn't feel good at all, our stomachs were hurting us.
August 6th: Friday night the boys had their 2x2 intramural tournament volleyball, they were going for "The Shirt ". They all won which meant the were to play each other on Saturday against each other.... Chris + Heath vs. Daniel + Drew. Chris was feeling so sick, he had diarrhea really bad apparently. However Chris and Heath still pulled out a WIN!!
August 11th: Before we left on Saturday to come down to my house, Chris and I went to the mall to do some more ring shopping. I am super excited and can't wait to be married to Christopher Reed Huntington and be Amber Huntington! This weekend Deana has been fixing up my wedding dress (she's making it!) and we put necklaces together for my bridesmaids. Chris and I made center pieces for the table at the shop. It is all going to be a Country / Elegant theme. It is kind of fun putting it all together and coming up with ideas. I am glad that I am doing it now ahead of time instead of waiting after school starts. Chris has been so much fun to be with this weekend, of course I love being with him all the time. We always find fun things to do like: Going to the Red Barn to to the cherry pit Spitting Contest (which I took 2nd ),
going shooting at the shooting rang, and going Swimming. Swimming ended up out not being so great. Towards the end I lost one of my pearl earrings that Chris gave me in the pool and the shortly after that he had to leave. I just wanted to cry. We searched the pool up and down and couldn't find it. That night I at least found the back in my Swim suite. Luckily the next day things were much better, we found the earring up by Deana's kids clothes, it must have gotten stuck in Kortlyn's life jacket when it got ripped out. Oh man I was so happy and grateful. I told Chris and be said that if I wouldn't have found it that he was going to buy me another pair, he could tell how much they meant to me. He is such a sweet guy and so good to me. Now I am just getting things ready for the reception and to go back up to school next week! Yay!! I can't wait to be back op there with Chris!!
August 19th: Chris and I escaped for an afternoon up in the mountains to do some fishing and enjoy the outdoors! I am shocked that I found a water snake and actually picked it up...I think I wanted to show off to Chris with how brave I am! Such a good relaxing day! Wish he had the ring to propose! It would have been perfect!!
August 20th: Went to Lagoon for the day with Tiffany and Drew!
August 22nd: So I am now all moved in at Condo Row with Mary, which I much rather be already roommates with Chris! Yesterday Chris and I went with Heath, Anika, Drew, and Tiffany to Drew of Heath's brothers house. I had a strong feeling that the girls should not stay in the same house with the boys when there weren't any adults there. I was really grateful with Chris completely supporting me on this. I am really grateful that we both want to do what is right, especially when we are this close to being married. We've decided that we should be careful how we sit and shouldn't lay down next to each other. It is hard not to do but I am glad that we are doing what is right. I am really glad that I stuck to my feelings and had us girls go to Anika's. When our movie was over the two other couples were asleep snuggling. Chris and I had to wake them up to go, not easy and I am sure they rather had stayed the night there, but again it was the right thing to do. I am just so grateful for Chris and to be dating such a wonderful guy wants and is striving to be better spiritually and with me. I really admire him for that. He is so understanding with me and my needs. I am so excited to be married to him. I have most of the plans ready for our wedding ... I can't wait! Today is Sunday and ever since Chis and I came back from Justin's I have been listening / watching talks and reading them. I just really feel calm and at ease right now full of the spirit. I Love my Father in Heaven and so grateful for his son Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he has done for me. I have been blessed with so many wonderful things and have a lot going for me right now. I feel humbled after watching others trials and tragedies that they have gone through and I am grateful that it hasn't happened to me or any of my loved ones and pray that it wont. I'm not saying that I don't have trials, because I do and they are hard, but I am grateful for every one of my trials because they have helped me to have a stronger testimony. I seriously can't wait to be sealed eternally with Chris and have our own family and return to my father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ. I feel as if I need to do more in my life right now to gain more spiritual knowledge. I want to do more good and reach out to other that are in need of a friend or just someone to talk to. Again I am grateful for Chris in that way, he makes me want to be a better person and I am grateful! I love him SO much!
