November 4th: Antelope Island Half Marathon!! We did it! We convinced our friend Greg Anderson and Jenell and Michael to come do it with us! It was so cold and a lot more hills than what I had thought! For me the race was super good until mile 10…my IT Band seized up so Chris just kept going and I was off and on running the last three miles. Super frustrating because I know I would have finished with Chris if it wasn’t for that! Dang it! Still got 2:14 which isn’t bad but I wanted 2:06 like Chris got! Wanted to finish through the line with Chris! It was a tough course with lots of hills and literally the day before I got a head cold. Blah still fun and glad we did it but so relieved to be done! Jenell was not too happy with all the hills haha. We will be back next year and do it even better!
November 7th: Finally raking up our leafs outside! Jackson loved the pile of leafs!
November 10th: Took the littles with me to Scheels to get Chris some snow overalls!
November 15th: Chris got to go to the Jazz game because their company made the Jazz highlight video!
November 19th: Chris took the kids to Saratoga Springs to go fishing! While Chris and the kids were fishing I took Jackson with me to go pick out some kittens that I want to surprise Catherine with for Christmas! I am so excited!
November 20th: I did a quick photo session for Matt and Kaitlin! They turned out so good!
November 21st: Jackson had his 18 month Dr. Appointment! Weight: 25.7 (62%), Height: 33 (58%), Head: 19.6 (95%)
November 24th-26th: We drove down to Meadow for Thanksgiving! On the 24th we went out to the hotpots to try and catch some fish out of the big hot pot pond. We then went back to my parents house to get ready for the big feast. My dad had asked Chris to go out to the barn and help with something. While he was helping my dad Chris caught his head on a barbwire and sliced his head open pretty good! He was bleeding a ton and also turned very white and was not feeling well! After texting Greg we would have just had Greg give him stitches but being in Meadow we decided to clean it out super well and use liquid bandaid to seal it up! This all happened literally right before it was time to eat...poor Chris! It was just our family and Frank's family and the food was great! Afterwards Chris took Caden over to Jenell and Owen's to shoot guns with his family! Chris ended up winning the whole tournament! That evening everyone came back over to mom's house for pie night! It was fun to see everyone and catch up! Yummy pumpkin pie!! On the 25th Chris went first thing in the morning to get a tetanus shot because he couldn't remember the last time that he got one! We then went over to Kanosh and played some pickle-ball while the kids played around! That afternoon we got a late start up Meadow canyon to get a tree because we were waiting on the DeGraffenrieds....which we should have just planned out own thing. Anyway we hit a part in the road that was super muddy and snowy. Chris decided he didn't want to push our luck and decided to back down to turn around. We then hit a gooey part and almost slid us off the road. The scary part was that it was a complete drop off! So we quickly got everyone out of the truck as the wheel was right next to the cliff! We didn't dare to move the truck at all of fear of it going down. We waited for Owen to get there and after a long wait of deciding what to do we finally tied a rope around a tree as Owen drove forward some and backed it down a little ways! That was really scary! I felt so bad for Chris...Lots of stress and anxiety on this trip unfortunately! We ended up backing down far enough until we could turn the truck around. We were then about to call it quits and go back to my moms house but then decided to just go quickly to Holden and finish the day on a positive note with a tree! We were on a race against daylight! But Chris found the perfect tree so quickly! I was so happy that we were able to end the day having fun in the snow with the kids and Chris having great luck in finding the most Beautiful tree! My mom had scones and hot chocolate waiting for us back at home and then once we got kids to bed we played games with Adam and Katlyn and my mom! On the 26th we drove back home (which of coarse I fell asleep again and Chris has made it a personal goal to get a picture from every trip where I fall asleep!). Once we got home we set up the tree and put up the most beautiful stockings that my mom made for me! I convinced her to make them. I provided the instructions and all the material. She struggled a ton with it and refuses to make it ever again for anyone! So I really do have treasure that will be passed down in my own family! So grateful for my mom and her love for me!
