September 2021

Our harvest from our garden this year has been amazing! No squash bugs...it is a miracle! We had so much raspberries this year that I was able to make freezer jam and give it to a friend!
Funny story with the grapes in the sink: I put all of the grapes in the sink and filled it up with water to wash them and get rid of any bugs. I thought there might be a couple bugs and spiders...but I was not expecting that many!! No joke we had at least 20 little spiders crawl out of no where out of the sink. I was freaking out and McKay was the only one at home helping at that time. He would say "I'm so NERRVOUS!" haha Me too buddy, my arm hairs were full on sticking up! I hate spiders and bugs!

September. 3rd: I got asked by another family from our ward to take their family pictures. They wanted them done at the Temple. Their pictures turned out soo good! This was the first time I had to get a babysitter to watch the kids while I did pictures because Chris was on his brothers trip!
September 3rd-5th: Brothers Trip! Chris drove with Matt and met up with Michael in Colorado near Aspen. They stayed the first night in a hotel because they got there late. The next morning they hiked up about 4 miles, hung out and fished and camped there. The next day they hiked up The Mount Of The Holy Cross "14ner" about a 8 mile hike with 2000 feet gain! Chris allergies completely exploded that night. Very exhausting trip and the fishing was actually pretty bad but very beautiful and glad he could go and have that quality time with his brothers!

September 7th: McKay has soccer once a week and occasionally he will go out and play super aggressive! Today he did that! It was so fun watching him! He was pushing the other kids out of the way to get to the ball and even made a goal! If only this happened every week!

Caden has basketball a couple times a week! He is loving it so much more now that Sam and William are playing too! Good group of boys!

September 8th: McKay's first day of preschool with teacher Debbie! He is so excited! He has been wanting to go to school like the other kids for so long. I was going to put him in Sunshine Square like I have done with the others in the past but unfortunately he is not quite potty trained so we couldn't! I am just so relieved to have him be able to go to preschool with teacher Debbie in her house!

September 11th: Swim lessons! Not sure if this is helping but I figured it wouldn't hurt! He doesn't mind it! But I look forward to doing it with teacher Debbie in the Spring and Summer!
That evening We took the kids mini golfing...they all loved it and did really well!
After mini golfing Chris went with Ben to the BYU football game against Utah! BYU won and they got to storm the field! That was the first time BYU has beat Utah in 9 years!

Catherine is seriously the best helper with Jackson and she loves him so much!

Oh McKay! This boy is the biggest messy eater Ever! No matter what he is eating he will end up being a big mess afterwards! I can't wait for him to grow out of this! Caden and Catherine have always hated being messy so I have never had to really deal with this before....but honestly it is soo his personality!

September 15th: Basketball got cancelled last minute so they went over to one of the boys back yard to practice and play together!

September 18th: Chris and I drove down with the kids on the 17th to my moms house in Meadow and spent the night! Early the next morning Chris and left the kids with my mom so we could go run a 6 mile race in Richfield! It was a beautiful trail run and the weather was perfect but man that race was insane! First 3 miles was completely up hill which lots of it was speed hiking. The last 3 miles was all down hill and we were FLYING!!! At mile 4 I fell and hurt my hand and knee and I had to pee really bad...otherwise I think I could have come in top 3 female and would have gotten a cool rock trophy! It was a fun race to be able to do with Chris!
I wish we could have stayed longer at my parents house but we had to book it back up north to make it to Kinsee's wedding reception. She had asked me to be her photographer. I loved how simple it was being in Lina and Bruce's back yard. The pictures turned out beautiful! It was fun being there and hanging out with family as well!

September 22nd: Our cute Jackson baby is starting to roll!! Plus he is still the most spitting up baby I have had! Him and I are both pretty soaked by the end of the day!

September 24th: I have been trying to keep up with running every other day! Today I was so proud of myself for being able to run pushing the stroller up this crazy hill without stopping! Jackson loves it!

September 28th: LuLu+Roo made a new video and Chris made it in it! Work has been busy! They are getting ready to launch a Harry Potter collection!

September 29th: McKay is full on Potty Trained! Man after all those months of trying and failing all it took was it to be his idea! I think it did help to switch him to standing up so he wouldn't have to take his pants all the way off every time he went pee! He hated the process and time it took...so that definitely was huge! but HALLELUJAH!

September 30th: We challenged Heath and Anika to a fire making challenge in honor of Survivor starting again! Chris won! He got his fire to catch with the first strike!
