December 2020

Towards the beginning of the month I took the kids to light the night that the city was putting on. We waited in line for a long time, not sure it was worth it but the kids had fun seeing Santa, Elsa, Anna, and getting cookies from the car.

We just love how our tree turned out!

We decided to do tin foil dinners outside one last time before it starts to snow!

Caden got selected Student of the Month for being so kind and thoughtful towards others! I am so proud of him! Caden and I also worked together on this paper doll! Turned out awesome! I think I had more fun with it than what he did! haha

12.12.20  We finally got snow!!! I can't believe that's all the snow we got so far! So sad!

12.14.20  20 week Ultra sound!! It's sad tat this is the only picture I have so far of me being pregnant....I just don't feel very flattering this pregnancy haha. We decided to wait on finding out the gender because Sidny and Amanda at LuLu&Roo wanted to do a baby reveal party for us! We both feel like it is a boy! Before getting pregnant I felt like there was a girl and then I got a feeling that I would get a boy first before another girl. I have also been craving more salty things and this baby is sitting super low making my hips hurt all the time.

McKay is our nut boy!! haha He loves cracking open pistachios and eating them! It will keep him entertained for several minutes!

We decided this year to actually walk up to the tree of life! It is crazy how they get those lights on every branch! It is so pretty! I love how many people it attracts. People are naturally drawn to light!

At work for Chris they did a white elephant gift exchange. I gave him the idea to make loafers out of real bread and then he put them in a shoe box! It was very funny!

Last day of school for the kids before the Christmas break. They had a Christmas party and decorated gingerbread houses!

I decided to make bibs as Christmas gifts to family and friends!

For our family Christmas pjs this year we all got matching Lama pjs but for Chris and I they only had XXXL left. I decided to just buy them and a seamstress from LuLu&Roo was kind enough to resize them down for us. She gave me the leftover material so I could make a matching pj for Catherine's doll!

12.14.20   Baby reveal party!!! Sidney and Amanda from LuLu&Roo wanted to do a reveal party for us! This is our first reveal party someone has done for us! They did a farm theme because they know that Chris wants to have a farm someday. They called it Chris Acres! We had a great time and was very excited to find out that we are having a.....BOY!!! Catherine was a little disappointed at first but now she is very excited! We can't wait for him to join our family!

12.18.20  Sam's 8th Birthday Party! They went to Altitude, a jumping place. Afterwards they went through in and out drive through and then went back to Sam's house for presents and cake! They had so much fun! Sam is Caden's best friend...They love playing together!

12.18.20  Chris took Caden ice fishing with Uncle Matt back to the private pond in Park City! They forgot the auger! haha So they had to use primitive tooling methods and had to pound whole in the ice with a fence post, shovel, and a boat anchor that was just lying around. Super pretty up there and quiet. They didn't catch anything until they moved to a spot that was super slushy. When pounding in the ice they were getting drenched with water splashing all over them. But well worth it because then they caught 7 in like 30 minutes. Caden caught two all on his own! Until they started catching fish Caden mostly enjoyed making paths. Chris was relieved to have the truck because the roads were covered in a bunch of snow and had to use four wheel drive and worked like a charm!

12.19.20   We went down to Meadow to spend with Grandma and Grandpa and and other family before Christmas! Once we got there we took the kids to our famous sledding hill. Sadly there was a ton of snow so we kept hitting down to the dirt and rocks. But the kids still had fun! After having pizza with Grandma and Grandpa we went to the Thurman's house and enjoyed talking with them while Chris and Kyle played a game. On Sunday Grandpa did a really cute lesson with our kids about a Rooster. I love seeing them interact with our kids! We all then went out to the DeGraffenried home to hang out with them and have a delicious pre-Christmas feast! It was SO good! It was so fun to see family and get to spend some quality time with them!

12.22.20  Gingerbread house making time! We had a really good time this year making gingerbread houses! The kids got so into it and it they all turned out awesome!

12.23.20  We put together a last minute House2Home work party at Marco's Pizza. It was fun to be able to get to know these girls more outside of work.
12.24.20   Christmas Eve. We acted out our own family Nativity. McKay loved acting out the sheep! They were all super cute!

12.25.20  Merry Christmas! We spent the morning opening presents and playing with them. Afterwards we had a yummy breakfast. We just hung out the rest of the day playing and being lazy! Some presents they got....Caden: dart guns, huge lego ship, and drone. Catherine: barbie house, tumbling mat, and pet shop. McKay: giant dog, paw patrol blanket, and paw patrol toy.

12.26.20  Chris took both Caden and Catherine to go ice fishing in Mantua. They met up with uncle Matt. This was Catherine's first time ice fishing and she almost caught some on her own....she had a bunch of good nibbles. She had a blast with it! The kids especially enjoyed making hot roman and hot chocolate over the jet boil. I think they ended up catching around 7 or 8 fish! Catherine kept walking around holding fish in her hands. Matt wanted to keep the fish he caught so the kids decided it would be best for the fish to stick the fish's heads in the plastic cups full of water they had brought. Pretty funny for Chris and Matt to watch these kids trying to "help" the fish and seeing a bunch of fish tails sticking out of these cups everywhere! haha
