October 2020

At the beginning of the month LuLu&Roo moved to a new warehouse. Crazy time because they have been struggling due to the effects of Covid shutting things down. But they also got awarded in the top 100 fastest growing companies in Utah! Such a great accomplishment and award!

10.8-11.20  Boys Trip!  Chris got with his brothers and dad and went to Flaming Gorge for 3 nights. They rented a boat for the first day. Second day they hiked 4 miles down below the damn to fish the river then hiked the 4 miles back to their camping spot. They had a great time catching lots of fish! Chris caught the largest rainbow fish that he has ever caught...19 inches!! He says he caught the most too! Great trip!

Picture Day at school! She felt so pretty!

My dad made this china cabinet for my mom shortly after they got married! He gave it to me!!! I am so excited to fix it up and either paint it or stain it! Can't wait to put my grandma's china in it!

Catherine needs a little sister haha! Poor McKay, but he loves to play dress up!

10.16- 18.20  We went and stayed at my Aunts cabin just outside of Manti! It was so perfect for our family! We really needed to get away and get out in nature! We left Friday evening and picked up some chick-fil-a on our way there. By the time we got there we had time to walk around the property and get all our wiggles out before going to bed. Saturday morning we made a delicious breakfast before starting our big day full of adventures. We first went to the lake to ride bikes. Chris took Caden off on the trails while I stayed with Catherine and McKay and let them ride on the little trail that went around the lake. After that we packed a lunch and drove to Huntington Reservoir. We hung out there most of the day. We didn't have any luck catching fish in the reservoir and Caden got stuck in some thick mud after we told him not to go over there. haha Chris had to rescue him by throwing some rocks as stepping stones to get to him so he wouldn't get stuck too! It was funny to watch! My most favorite part was when we decided to venture up the river to try our luck with fishing. We walked quite a ways before catching our first and only one but it felt so good to be exploring nature and not have any other person besides our family around! So peaceful and relaxing. After exploring we drove to a park and got pizza! Next to the park was the coolest bike trail with lots of little jumps. All the kids had so much fun going in laps around and going up and down the jumps! On our way home on Sunday we stopped at the Manti Temple to get some family pictures in celebration of our 10 year anniversary. We wanted to replicate one of the pictures we got on our wedding day at the Manti Temple! What a perfect ending to our great family trip!

1st picture: Playing Caden in Battleship! We are all so competitive! 2nd Picture: Caden's 2nd grade class

We put Caden in a basketball clinic and he is doing really well with it!

10.22-24.20  For all break I took the kids down to Meadow to hang out with grandma and grandpa. Grandpa quickly became McKays best friend. He took him to gather the eggs, McKay was so excited! Grandpa also volunteered to rescue McKay from the tree house when he was too afraid to come down. So grateful for my dad and making a big influence in my kids lives! I also got to attend Jed's football game and Mary's volleyball game, both of which were their last home games! My mom was so sweet to be so willing to watch my kids so I could go to their games! I love the time I get to spend with my family down in Meadow!

LuLu&Roo Christmas photoshoot

10.30.20 (day before Halloween)  We took our kids to a fun pumpkin farm. They had a lot of fun activities including a hay slide, bounce pad, zip lines, little train ride, corn maze, yummy donuts, and of course picking out nice big pumpkins!

10.31.20  Halloween! In the morning Chris took Caden to Corner Canyon to bike the trails! Caden loves riding his bike with dad and they have so much fun together! Chris has always looked forward to having moments like this with his kids! Once they got back we carved our pumpkins and then got ready for trick-or-treating through our neighborhood! It was so fun to see McKay get so into it this year...he made the cutest little monkey running around say "ooh ooh ah ah". And of course once they got back they dumped all their candy out and organized them and did their trading! Brings back so many fun memories of when I was a kid!
