Sam started his Salsa business so we bought some to try out!
Catherine is excelling so well in tumbling. She has mastered her back walkover and got to add her name to the wall.
8.8-11.20 We went out to Boise to hang out with the Lowry family and they were so kind to let us go to Eric's parents cabin. The cabin is right on the edge of Lake Cascade. We hung out at the cabin, played on the beach, paddle boarded, went boating/ wakeboarding, and went on a little Sunday hike. Unfortunately Chris hurt his neck while wakeboarding...kind of messed him up the rest of the weekend. But luckily he was still able to go mountain biking a couple of times with Eric. We played spike ball with the teenagers and we won! On the way home we drove to twin falls to let the kids see the big waterfall. This trip was a perfect family get away for us...just what we needed! It was so pretty there at Cascade Lake!
8.12.20 The day after we got back I took Caden, Catherine, and Liam to Lagoon. Deric payed for all of us to go. Grandma Freeman watched McKay so I could take the kids for most of the day. Caden went on all the rides with Liam except for one! They had a blast! I was so surprised that they went on all the scary ones too. Catherine would have gone too if she was tall enough! She was sad when she couldn't go on one, but I was relieved because that meant I didn't have to go on the rides! Fun long day but we were super tired by the end of the day!
Bill, Mindy, and Katie stopped by to hang out and have dinner. It was so fun to catch up with them.
Chris gave his big expensive remote control car to Caden! Caden has been Loving it!
8.20.20 Sleepover party before school starts! Sam invited Caden to spend the night at his house. They watched a movie and then looked through a telescope at the stars. We decided to have Gracie come over to watch a movie and once it was over to take her home.
8.25.20 School started!!! Can't believe Caden is in Second Grade!! They are required to wear masks to school! Caden has a really awesome teacher named Mrs. Snow, he loves her! He has been struggling wanting to go to school though because of the masks and because there in a boy in his class named Logan that doesn't listen very well.
McKay wanted to wear a mask too! haha
8.27-30.20 Grandma and Grandpa Huntington came out to Utah for Elise's birthday. We are so blessed to get them to come stay with us for a few days! While they were here we took them on a hike to donut falls and of course got donuts afterwards! It was a perfect little for the kids! Grandma and Grandpa are so fun playing with the kids. I had so much fun watching them all play in the backyard with the water. We also took them miniature golfing which the kids absolutely love....if we really count the scoring Chris won!
8.31.20 Catherine started Kindergarten!!! She was SOO excited! Everything went really well when I was dropping her off. She was playing on the playground and decided to go underneath....unfortunately there was a wasp nest and she got stung!!! 5 times on her forehead and one big one on her knee. I felt so bad for her. She was crying and we took her into the front office. The principle said to just leave her there with her and she will keep me posted. That was so sad and hard. She was so sad and mad that I was leaving. But in the end she came home loving school and couldn't wait to go back! She loves that her best friend is in her class! Can't believe my girl is growing up so fast! Love ya girl friend!
