February 2020

This month has been a very emotional month for me and our family! Lots of plans not happening, and experiencing death of a loved one for the first time! The first week started off really good and then it just slowly went down from there, but we tried our best to find the fun and enjoyable things in each day!

2.1.20   Caden's last basketball game. He has improved so much! He is now dribbling, and looking to shoot the ball as well as good passes! He loved having Sam on his team...just don't play them at the same time because then they get distracted with talking to each other!

Catherine is doing so well with tumbling. She loves it!

February Preschool Pictures! She loves school, her friends, and teachers!

All three of boys watching the Super Bowl! I love this!

We got a bunch of snow! Kids were so excited to go out and play in the snow...no idea why they took off their gloves, probably to eat the carrots I gave them to make their snowmen!

2.7.20    Women's Retreat! At the church cabins in Park City. We had so much fun with some girls of all ages from our neighborhood/ward. Yummy food, lots of games and bonding, live music by the fire and staying up way too late! I was so surprised with how late Catherine stayed up....I think it was about 1 or 2 am!! She was just having so much fun playing with Reece! Catherine and I wised up this year and slept on the "quiet" side of the cabin, but unfortunately we had someone in our room that was snoring! Blah.... The next morning we ate breakfast, cleaned and then went sledding! Such a fun tradition that our ward has created! Once we got home Catherine and I both took a nice long nap!

The boys had a movie night and slept out in the living room while the girls were away!

McKay waiting for mom to get home! Love that boy!

2.9.20   FHE Sunday at Aunt Linda's. (At the time we had no idea this would be the last for awhile) So grateful for the little things that Aunt Linda does to make everyone feel so special!

2.11.20   Grandma and Grandpa are finally here!!! They came a week earlier than planned because Grandma Elaine was expected to pass away any day! She ended up lasting a lot longer than what anyone had expected and we ended up having to cancel our trip to California. That made me super sad to miss out on that chance to bond with my sisters and their spouses! I have been looking forward to that trip for almost a year! But we just didn't want to be gone when she passes and everyone wanted to stay at our house. Also McKay had started acting sick on the day we were going to leave....There was just so many things going on that we couldn't leave, even though we REALLY wanted to and needed the get away! The majority of the time with Grandma and Grandpa here has been fun, kids have sure enjoyed spending time with them.

2.14.20   For Valentines Day we wanted to take the kids on individual dates because Chris and I were going to have Our big date in California. Chris was going to take Catherine Ice skating but it was closed so they ended up just getting ice cream. I was going to take Caden to the orem mall to get chick fil a and do the virtual reality. Unfortunately the virtual reality was no longer in the mall. Lots of plans not happening the way we had wanted. But we made the best of it and went to the boob docks and did a 4 min. virtual shooting rollercoaster thing. Caden loved it! We ended our date with getting a really yummy donut!

2.15.20Grandma passed away  which was on a Saturday and the funeral was on the following Saturday which was when we would have gone on our trip. I have made a separate post for Grandma!

Catherine got to have a play date with Reece! She has been having so much fun with her!

Catherine was supposed to try on LuLu&Roo clothes and McKay insisted on wearing them too! haha

2.20.20  Brady and Stephani arrived and we wanted to keep most of the activity out of our house. We have just been feeling anxious with everyone here, sickness, and still disappointed about not going on our trip. So we went swimming and afterwards Brady and Stephani's family went to his Aunts house for dinner.

Catherine showing how brave she is and how she can hold her breath under water!

2.21.20   We played at the church and had pizza! The kids had a blast playing with each other!

2.22.20   Grandma Elaine Huntington's Funeral all day! This is all in a separate post!  Everyone left early the next morning!

Finally Peace and QUIET! haha Just enjoying the first warm weather of spring!

2.24.20   Caden came home from school and just seemed super tired. I couldn't find him until I looked in the living room when I found him crashed on the couch! Poor boy must not be feeling too well! Or could have been just wiped out from all the excitement of cousins over the weekend!

2.29.20   I was so bummed about not going to California that when I heard about the musical down in Fillmore that a bunch of my nieces and nephews were in I insisted that we go down and watch it. We left Saturday morning and came back Sunday night. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It was so cute and they did really good! My favorite part was probably watching Caden giggle almost the whole time! Both him and Catherine loved it!
