November 2019

This month we finally had a couple weeks of it being a little less crazy and stressful. We have mostly been trying to get into a rhythm of school, tumbling, basketball, Chris and I running, and getting work organized. Chris has been training super hard with running and was super nervous/excited about running in Colorado. Chris has been released from his calling in the Elders Quorum but luckily I am still in with the Young Woman! We had Young Woman in Excellence where President Bonnie H. Cordon came and spoke to us.  Catherine had a couple fun things this month, her class had a field trip and she got invited to Saidee's birthday party. Chris and I celebrated our 9th Anniversary!! Feels like yesterday that we got married! Lots has changed over the years! We kept it simple this year because we plan on doing a bigger get away in February. So this year on our anniversary we just went out to eat at Tsunami and went and got Cheese cake afterwards! At the end of the month we went to Colorado for Thanksgiving. It was fun to be with family!

Chris got to be a model for the mens collection at LuLu&Roo.

I started making my Christmas presents for Kerry and Kathy, and my parents and of coarse made a couple for myself. I did a total of 9 puzzles. I really enjoyed making these, but I think next time I won't do so many at once. I loved how they all turned out. I plan on taking them down to Meadow after Thanksgiving to cut them out. Kind of hard to cut up a masterpiece. haha The kids loved what I was making and was constantly putting together the puzzles we already have. They have seen me take pictures of my puzzles and wanted to take pictures of the puzzles they have put together. I think the next puzzle I make I want the kids to help make it!

Caden and Chris went fishing with Uncle Matt. Caden said it was cold but fun! They had to walk a ways in the snow to get to the fishing places. They were fishing at Manatua, Caden was the net guy catching the fish. Chris said "on the 1.5 hr drive up he talked the whole way, he was super excited. I loved chatting with him about everything. Caden is very fun to go on fishing trips with."

Preschool Pictures for November.

Catherine's class field trip to Harmons. They took us on a tour of the Store and gave lots of samples along the way. At the end they had them decorate some cookies and gave them each a balloon to take home. Catherine and McKay both loved it! They want to shop there now. haha Catherine was so cute with all the girls from her class. They were walking around the store holding hands. so cute!

The park by the Library finally got finished so we decided to go play on a surprisingly warm day for November. Such a cool and fun park! Sadly right when we were about to go Caden jumped off this and totally hit his head super hard. He got a big goose egg on his head. I felt so bad for him.

We went to Jed's State Semi-Finals Football game. They did so well and I totally thought they were going to win but they lost at the very end. Glad we could go and support him!

Grandma Freeman came up to watch the kids so that Chris and I could go to the Jazz basketball game. One of his suppliers gave LuLu&Roo some tickets to a booth. It was a blast to have such great seats and free food. Sadly the dessert tasted horrible but all so fun! Before going to the game I was able to go take some pictures of Catherine in LuLu clothes for the company.

Friday night Family Movie Night! The kids love this little tradition we have created. They make sure that we have Breakfast for dinner and during the movie have popcorn! We take turns who gets to pick out the movie.

We tried video chatting with Grandma and Grandpa Huntington and couldn't reach them so we decided to take some family pictures instead...haha why not!

Young Woman in Excellence. Such a beautiful lesson on the Young Woman's theme.

Crazy day! I decided to make the effort to go see Emma at the Airport coming home from her mission. Luckily I just had McKay but it was stressful because it was snowing and I missed the parking garage, I ended up having to catch the bus to take me up to the air port but I had plenty of time to spare. Glad I was there to support her.

Catherine at Saidee's birthday party! She was so excited! They took them to go see FrozenII and then afterwards went back to her house for cake and presents. She brought home an Elsa mug! She loved every minute of it!

Thanksgiving Trip to Colorado! 27th-1st. On our way down we stopped in Grande Junction to let the kids play at the park. We were going to eat there but it was freezing. We probably only stayed about ten minutes. Once we got to Grandma's we mostly just relaxed for the rest of the evening. We did go on a little jog with Michael to get ready for the race the next day. Thanksgiving day we got up early to go to the 5K race. It was SO cold, 15 degrees! We were ready to crush it though, but unfortunately they did not plow the path like they should have and we had to run in a foot of unplowed snow. We did not perform like we wanted to, but it was still fun! I was surprised that I took first out of all the woman with that kind of time! After we were done running it was so cold that the boys had icicles hanging off of their beards! After the race we went back and helped get ready for the big feast! Which by the way was delicious! The rest of the day we just hung out. Friday we went to the church to take family pictures and then let the kids play in the gym. They had so much fun putting on a performance on the stage. Later that day the kids all went sledding. Saturday we went downtown to the giving machines and to see the flash mob sing. It was super cold, and not much of a flash mob but it was fun to get hot chocolate and do the giving machine with the kids. They liked riding the train! That night we all watched a movie called The Christmas Jars, super cute! Then the following day we made the long drive home. Fun Trip but a little too crazy with that many kids crammed into a small house. Lets just say we are glad to be back home!
