The Huntington Family: March 2019

Can't believe my little boy is already one year old! It is so fun seeing his personality show more and more. We love you McKay! Happy Birthday!

McKay: 1 Year old

12 month Dr. Appointment: Weight: 22 pounds 38% Height: 31 in. 84% Head: 18.75 in. 83%

No baby safety can stop him. He loves pulling out the covers out of the outlets.

For some reason he Loves bathroom. Anytime the door is left open he goes as fast as he can to the bathroom... maybe it is because he loves bath time.

Teething is the worst with him. All of them seem to be coming in all at the same time. Poor boy

Busy boy pulls things out of the kitchen cupboards all the time. It is daily routine. Favorite thing is the little spatula.

He is such a loud eater. He makes it seem like the food is very yummy.. haha He eats very fast too

I don't think he likes big crowds makes him nervous and extra fussy.

He does not like loud noises! Especially the blender...He will start shaking really bad the minute I pull it out. In Fact one time I pulled it out and he started crying and crawling away. I figured I would hurry and make the smoothie before checking on him. After I finished it was super quiet so I figured he was fine and kept on cooking. After about five minutes I decided to go check on him...I couldn't find him anywhere!!! All of the doors were shut, the gate was closed. After a couple minutes of looking I started freaking out. I asked Caden and Catherine if they knew where he was and even Caden almost started crying with worry. Finally Caden said that he thought he heard something in the closet. I opened the shoe closet and there he was just sitting there. Poor boy was so scared he put himself in the closet as his safe place. I was so scared that I lost him that I was shaking! AWWW

He is learning to walk! Improving every day! He is taking a few steps!

He loves to be outside and playing in the toy cars. He gets sad when the kids go outside and shut the door before he can make it out!

He likes to copy cat the kids- yelling, peek a boo, covering his ears, shaking his head....very cute

Says da for that. Starting to point at things and say "da"

He also like to say tickle tickle tickle, mom, dad

He is Super wiggly always!! Church is the worst!!

His eating schedule is about the same but we finally have him off of formula and just doing milk from his bottle. Taking away his bottle will be difficult.

McKay's Birthday Party

We had Grandma and Grandpa Huntington here, along with Matt and Kaitlin to celebrate his 1 year birthday. McKay loved his cake...mostly just the fruit and whipped cream. Grandma and Grandpa gave him some fun sand toys for his birthday. His favorite was the little wagon, he loved to just sit on it!

Catherine Grace Huntington I love you so much! You truly are my best friend! I am so glad that I have been blessed with a girl that can be my buddy! You are so much like me in many ways! You are beautiful inside and out! I hope that you will always be kind to others and always have a desire to do what is right. I know that your dad is proud of you and is excited to see what your future has in store for you. He also loves you very much!

She loves playing princess, Dr. and barbies.
She loves playing with friends! She has a lot of friends this year. Her favorites to play with is Gracie, Janie, Blakley, and Adah.
Every day she asks if she is going to preschool. She loves it and is doing really well. She has learned how to write her name! Even her Es have improved, they used to be a circle with a line through it. She is excited to go to another year of Preschool with Miss Greta and having Gracie in her class.
Catherine loves to have her nails painted, make up on, and getting all dressed up. She is all girl!
She love dance! Probably because she does get to get all dressed up. Makes her feel so beautiful!
One day I caught her talking in the mirror to herself. She said, "You are so Beautiful!".
She loves playing with Caden! They are such cute little buddies.
She is the best big sister to McKay! She loves him so much...sometimes she smothers him a little too much haha She is so good about watching him so that he doesn't put anything in his mouth and helping him walk and not falling.
Most days she will still take a nap, but can go without one if needed. But I try to have her take one every day still otherwise she gets super crazy/ feisty if she doesn't....very scary.
She is pretty stubborn! Takes quite a battle to get her to clean her room!
New thing she likes to say a lot is "your majesty boom bah".
She can make friends so easily! Whenever we go to a park or somewhere like that she will just start following a group of girls around and just sort of invites herself to play and they love her! She is such a social bug!
She says beautiful prayers. She is very thoughtful in what she says...I am very impressed!
Eating has been a challenge lately. I have been fighting with her to get her to eat all of her food...usually it end in me spoon feeding her between feeding McKay.
She still talks like she is from Chicago! When she says "Fork" it sounds pretty sketchy! haha

Catherine's Princess Birthday Party!

The night before her party we let her invite some friends over. We have from the left: Caden, Sam, Gracie, Sadie, and Catherine. They watched Cinderella and had popcorn and treats!

In the morning we let Catherine open her gift from mom and dad which was this beautiful new princess dress! Her friend Sadie got to come early in the morning and help us get ready by doing Catherine's hair and paint nails. They loved it! Once friends got here we started out by coloring a castle for each kid until all the girls were here. Shortly after that Cinderella came! She was so good with the kids. We took picture with Cinderella and then she read her story to all the girls. They then played a hot and cold game in which Catherine got to keep the gift they were hiding at the end. She finished by singing A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. It was so magical! Catherine loved every minute she had with Cinderella!
