November 2018

At the beginning of the month we all got sick with diarrhea and I was holding Caden on the couch when he threw up all over my leg. not fun. Poor Chris has to clean it all up because I can not handle the smell of throw up, makes me start gagging. McKay was the first to get sick. So glad that he is feeling better. I think we are just at the start of many sicknesses to come! Ugh. This month I have done a lot of pictures for Wholesale Upholstery Supply, which has kept me really busy. Luckily all of our sicknesses went away except for Catherine's lingering cough right in time for us to go down to Colorado for Thanksgiving. Before going down to Colorado Chris and I celebrated our anniversary by going out to eat and getting a marsala steak at Carrabbas and we also went to a ax throwing place which was lots of fun! In Colorado we went to the Great Wolf Lodge and that first night was really miserable. At 11 pm Catherine was coughing so much that Chris decided to go out to Amber's car to get the diffuser and while he was gone she threw up in the hotel bed!! I was the only one in there to take care of it....Just a reminder I don't do well with the smell of throw up. So I am dry heaving the whole time I am taking care of her. I get her into the bathroom tub and she throws up more which finally made me throw up and I threw up in the sink! yuck! So poor Chris when he came back into the room there was throw up on the bed, in the tub, and the sink was clogged with my throw up! Chris had to take over because I couldn't handle any more. We finally got everything cleaned up, after we had maintenance come up and help unclog the sink. We were so anxious about Catherine though because just the week before a girl in our ward had died from joking on her throw up in her sleep. So Chris ended up sleeping with Catherine propped up on him the whole night. The rest of our Colorado trip was fun and Catherine did start coughing less. We really did have a wonderful thanksgiving week. However we were glad to get home but sad to see Chris leave to go to Virginia for a couple days to hang out with the Whittiers and go hunting with Heath! That was very long and exhausting to get out there and get back. On his way out there he probably only got Maybe two hours of sleep that night before getting up early to go hunting! I am so grateful for my mom. She came and stayed with me while Chris was gone. She helped me tile the bathroom out in the garage!
-I had one day during this month that I hope never gets repeated! In this day Caden wrote in big numbers 1-10 on our sheets. He tried blaming it on Catherine, silly boy she can't write her numbers yet! Catherine used almost the whole bottle of lotion and then the whole box of tissues to wipe it off. There was a huge mountain of tissues on the bathroom floor. Catherine also got into Chris's very expensive cologne and sprayed it all over her and her blankets. At dinner time she grabbed Caden's cup and scooped up her food and dumped it on the floor. I caught both of them cutting my tree with scissors. And to end the day Catherine peed on the floor. I couldn't believe my day, they have Never done things like this and to make it worse McKay was supper cranky all day!
-Some cute things about Catherine: We were playing Simon Says and she wanted it to be her turn. She said "Simon says touch your feelings"(she said that while touching her heart) So cute. Another cute thing she has done in the past but has recently sadly stopped: She used to call Uncle Matt- Apple Matt, and Aunt Stephanie she still says Aunt Sesame. haha

McKay: 8 months old

• He loves to growl! He especially does this alot when Chris comes home. It seems to be there way of communicating by growling back and forth to each other. so funny.
• He got his top tooth on Nov. 28th. He has been super fussy all month!
• He started full on crawling while we were in Colorado. 
• He is a jibber jabber!! He recently has started saying Mamama...pretty sure it is intentional too!
• He loves to stand up anywhere he can. He also likes to grab your legs to stand up next to you. 
• While we were in Colorado his favorite thing to do was the stairs! 
• Even though he has been teething and fussy he is still really easy to get him to smile. 
• He has discovered his tongue and loves to stick it out. It is really fun how he starts copping you
• McKay loves the dishwasher and pulling things out.....and so it begins! 

Poor sick and teething baby! But I love the snuggles I get!

We went to Jed's football game...sadly they lost!

Chris and I went on a date for our Anniversary. The ax throwing was way more fun than what I thought. However we were pretty sore the next day. haha
