The Huntington Family: October 2018

October seemed to be a little bit more relaxing month. I played volleyball every week up until Halloween. Love it! Towards the begging of the month we had Charlotte and her two girls come over and play. That night Chris went with Ben to the BYU football game. They didn't take any pictures because BYU got destroyed haha, seems to be their luck for when they go to their games. That first weekend was General Conference where President Neilson made many new changes: talked more about ministering and the big one being Church going from three hours to two starting in January. Love hearing the words of these men!! Saturday night was the General Womans Conference and Aunt Linda is so nice to host a Olive Garden dinner at her house for just the woman while we listen to conference. I just love the little traditions that she does! In the Second week in October Chris and I finally got to go to the temple together for a session! That was wonderful. Once of the laurel young woman baby sat for free for us! That same week Catherine's school had a field trip to the Wheelers farm. She had a cute little class. On the 14th Caden had his primary program! He did so good! I was nervous that he would chicken out of going up there or even to say his line into the microphone, but he did it! I so wish I could have took a video of him but Chris wouldn't let me haha. The middle week of October was Extremely busy for me with photography. I had all my product pictures that Chris sent me to edit, but I also took the Hill Family pictures, Clayton Family pictures, and two senior portraits. Now if only I can get our own family pictures before it gets too cold! On Sunday the 21st I held our second FHE Sunday! I love seeing all of them. We had a fun time playing games and catching up on life....and again I forgot to get a picture!! UGH! The last week of October we had a lot of fun activities. On Friday the 26th we went to the pumpkin farm and let the kids play and pick out whatever pumpkin they wanted. On Saturday I took the Clayton kid pictures and then we went to Aunt Linda's for Pumpkin Fest!! By far one of my favorite holidays that I look forward to every year. After the pumpkin fest we went straight to our ward Halloween party. On actual Halloween both of the kids had Halloween parties at school. After school grandma and grandpa Freeman came and took us out to lunch and Famous Daves!! It was a short visit but so glad we got to see them, It has felt like a very long time since I last saw them! Then that night we went to the Clayton's house for dinner and then did some trick or treating around their neighborhood for awhile and then came to our neighborhood and did some more trick or treating! Fun night but we couldn't wait to get kids to bed, they were sugar high and cranky. Overall it was a Very fun way to end our month of October!

McKay: 7 months old

So I have started feeding him lunch and dinner. There are certain things that he does like better than others. He loves squashes, carrots, and most veggies actually. Still not a big fan of bananas or yogurt.
He only takes two naps now. Once in the morning around ten for just about and hour. and then again at 2 after I feed him a bottle and change his diaper he will go down around the same time as Catherine and sometimes Caden. He will sleep for at least 2 sometimes 3 hours. It is great because the days that Caden takes a nap too that usually gives me at least one solid our to myself to work on pictures!
I think he is working on another tooth....one night woke up at 11:30, 2, 3, went in bed with him the rest of the night. Or he could be sick or both! Either way it is miserable.
He is partly sitting and can usually last for a couple minutes before he tips over.
He is army crawling all over the place. Still not full on crawling yet. Still does a warm like crawl.
He is such a boy. He loves to growl and grunt at people, especially dad! It is the cutest and funniest thing. It is like it is his way of communicating.
Tried to stand up but only got to knees and fell over and cried because he hit his head on the floor. It is a hard life to be a baby.
So easy to get him to smile and laugh now...that is if he isn't sick or teething, but even then we can usually get something out of him if we tickle him!
He loves to wrestle dad! I just love watching the kids wrestle and play with dad.
I tried feeding him puffs didn't work. He gaged, maybe next month
He can go from crawling to sitting now pretty easily.
His hands are like magnets to my hair! WHY!!!!
By the end of the month he just started saying "mamama" every once in a while.
This boy just loves to be held. Big boy killing our backs. Out of all the kids so far I think he likes to be held the most. He would have me hold him all day if I would allow it.
McKay still loves his binky! Thank goodness! It has been a life savor! Only on certain occasions will I let him sleep with it though.

haha this was so funny to me! Caden wanted me to roll him up like a burrito....so I did it as tight as I could to see if he could get out! He could not! I got it on video of him trying to stand up only to tip over and face plant it! I could not help myself but I was laughing so hard!

Our cute sleepy baby! This is really like the only time he will actually snuggle us. Maybe that is why I like to have him sleep in bed with me sometimes!

We decided to do one last backyard campout before it got to cold outside. As it was it was super cold that we even brought in the portable heater. They watched a movie and had popcorn in their tent before going to bed. McKay and I slept inside. Too cold for baby! The kids Love doing this! Chris is the best daddy ever!

McKay and I were foxes, Caden a brown bear, Catherine a wolf (I had done a cute little nose on her too but she insisted that I take it off, little stinker), and Chris was a hunter!
