September 2018

At the beginning of September Catherine had her sample day for preschool. She is going to love preschool! Catherine also had her first day of dance. Grandma Kathy and I got to stay and watch her. She loves it!! While Chris's parents were here the boys went camping and fishing at strawberry reservoir. Caden loved every minute of it. Chris said he was so chatty on the way up and was asking tons of questions. Chris loved it too, They all had a good time.   Caden went to David's birthday party on the following Monday. Then on the 11th Catherine had her first official day of preschool. She loves her teacher Miss Connie! On the 15th I attended Ashley's wedding reception where I got to meet Elder Holland! I got to chat with sister Holland for a few minutes too, what a great opportunity! Then on the 16th Matt and Kaitlin blessed their baby. It was fun to have all the family around for a few days! Grandma and Grandpa Huntington even took the kids to the zoo! Towards the end of the month I held our first FHE Sunday with all my nieces and nephews that are newly weds or still going to school. I really wish I would have gotten a picture, there was a good turn out! I am going to try and have this every month! It is a great way for me to get to know all of these newly weds! I also started going to stake volleyball which has been great! I have met some great volleyball players that have invited me to play with them other times as well! Oh how I have missed some good volleyball! 

Mckay: 6 months old

He is a growing boy. I can't believe that he is already wearing 9- 12 month clothes, mostly 12 month! It is fun putting him in clothes that I remember Caden wearing when he was that age. 

Almost right when he turned 6 months old he got his two bottom teeth! YAY! They finally popped through. Poor boy got two at the same time, no wonder he has been super fussy and waking up at night a lot. I think he has been the worst one yet when it comes to teething. He also has been sick on top of all the teething so that hasn't helped anything. His nose has been so runny that he wakes up because he can't breathe and then he likes to have his binky in but can't really do that when you can't breathe out of your nose. 

On the bright side he is SO close to full on crawling. He gets ups on his ands and knees and will rock back and forth before he lunges forward. It is so funny to see, he looks like a warm. He gets a little frustrated on the hard wood floor because he can't do that as well, he just slides around in circles. However on the carpet he can cruse all around on his tummy. Definitely getting more happy that he can go and do what he wants. 

I need to start baby proofing more because he likes to put everything in his mouth! 

He isn't spitting up hardly at all after feeding any more...such a relief!

He is still taking about 6 oz. at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, solids at 6, and another bottle at 8pm. He is also still taking 3 1 hour- 1 1/2 hour naps. However I think around 7 months old I will start trying to feed him 3 times a day solids and maybe taking his naps down to two by taking out the evening one. 

It is the cutest thing ever to see him get so excited when he sees his daddy! He gets so smily and when he smiles he smiles with his whole body by getting super wiggly. 

He doesn't really like bananas and the mashed up turkey. He started dry heaving with the turkey.

Grandma Huntington Came to help Kaitlin out with her new baby. She stayed the nights at our house. The last couple days of her stay Grandpa Huntington came too and the boys went camping and fishing.     Chris got a hold of his mom's glasses. haha

We thought that it would be fun to take Grandma and Grandpa to see a sheep herding show/ dog show. It was fun at first but the kids quickly got hot, tired and bored. Good thing they had a little animal show too. 

Catherine's first day of school she did extremely well. I thought that she was going to be a little nervous but she was super excited! I think watching Caden do it for a year was helpful!

First day of Dance Catherine was super excited. However once we got there she was a little nervous but she ended up participating really well and loved every minute of it!

When the boys went on their camping/ fishing trip Catherine and I had a girls night and watched Cinderella in my bed with popcorn! She loves Cinderella now, that was her first time watching it!

 Caden was brave and tried the crawdads. He said he liked it but it was really sandy. 

Once the boys got back that night we all met at Stacie Drapers house for the best oven pizza ever!

FHE Sunday at Aunt Lindas. Bruce was teaching a great lesson to the kids. By this point Chris's parents left to only return the following week for the baby blessing.

Caden and Catherine both ready to go to school. I love this hour and a half that I get with just McKay! It is great and usually he takes an hour nap during that time!

We had a surprise birthday party for Grandpa Huntington! It was a great party having everyone there.

The next day I kept Caden from school so that they could all go to the zoo with grandma and grandpa Huntington. They all had so much fun!

Chris has been working hard and has had a lot of people approach him wanting Chris to help them with selling on Amazon! He even got equity in one of the companies. With him starting to be more involved in all these other companies and my product photography growing while still keeping our kids alive ;) , we are both extremely busy!  Chris went to a online learning convention where he got to listen to Mitt Romney speak! 

 Poor baby is teething and has been rubbing his ears and face, this time he accidentally scratched himself! POOR BABY!

We had a little hot dog cook out around the fire and invited Bridger to join us. The kids love Bridger so much and he is so good with them!
