November 2016

This month we had something fun happening every weekend! I just love it! And I love spending time with family! At the beginning of the month we took a little family vacation to park city. Ben's parents have a time share there and they let us use it! That was so nice of them! It was a really sweet hotel too! It was like a house with a kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms! Sadly the kids got sick about right as we were getting there. One of the nights Chris had to go to the store late at night to get medicine for the kids! :( However, we made the best of it and still went swimming, which we mostly just stayed in the hot tub where it was warmer haha. For dinner that night we went to Zupas and then got ice cream afterwards. We also brought a bunch of food to make a yummy sausage egg mcmuffin for breakfast with lots of fruit. YUM! On our way home we went bowling. It was Caden and Catherine's first time and they loved it! We then went to a park for a lunch picnic. Even with everyone sick, it was still a really fun well needed family vacation!
The following day was Jaden's wife Natalie's bridal shower. She is such a nice and fun spirited woman! I am so excited for them and their future together. It was fun hanging out with Jenell, Beckie, my mom, Aunt Vonda, and Aunt Darlene. After the shower my mom and Aunt Darlene came and spent the night at our house. I was so glad that they did! I love and look up to Aunt Darlene so much and was glad that she was able to come and get to know my kids!
The following weekend we met up with Marla and her family and Stan and his kids. We met at Stan's house and then drove up to the top of Provo's Canyon to ride bikes down! That was such a blast and the kids loved it too! Part way down the canyon we stopped at a park and played ultimate frisbee. That was way fun, even though I was so out of shape and about died and I am not a very good frisbee thrower. haha But it was just fun to be playing with such wonderful people and have Macie (she is Awesome) play with our kids! Once we got out of the canyon we met at the riverbottoms mall to eat and then we went to another park to play frisbee golf. Again I am not very good but still way fun! We played a adults only game! Loved it! All the other kids watched our kids and Cannon at the park! I so needed that! :) On Sunday they all came over to our house and we provided lunch! I made my favorite dish: Arapas (a Venezuelan dish)!!
The next weekend Chris's parents came for Thanksgiving and stayed at our house for a week! We just love it when they come stay with us! Our kids really get to know their grandma and grandpa that way and they just love them so much! While they were here we went to strawberry reservoir to go fishing. It was SO cold and they didn't catch too much. But it was fun! Catherine fell face first into the water 2 times haha. Probably because she had too much layers on, she was like "Randy". haha.  She would lean over to grab a rock and then just tip right over into the water! haha . After the second time we had to take the marshmallow suite off.  We had a hotdog lunch there as well. I am sure that the men would have liked to stay longer than what we did but the kids and I were freezing and it was very much time for naps! Sorry guys! Besides playing a lot with grandma and grandpa at home, we also went to Kangaroo zoo, which the kids always love! Then the boys went shooting pumpkins at the shooting rang! That is one way to get rid of all those pumpkins we had!
Chris's parents were so kind to watch our kids while we went out and celebrated our anniversary! We splurged and went to RedLobster, which was a waste of money. I like the jumbo shrimp but everything else was not so great. We then went to a see a movie at the nice movie theatre.
Then we had Thanksgiving at Uncle Kevin's house! Love being with all the family. Sadly I didn't take any pictures there, but I did take a picture of the yummy rolls I made haha.
The final weekend we went down to meadow to see my family as well for the holiday! Chris and I helped rake a bunch of leaves in the back yard while the kids played. We also went up the mountains with Stan and his kids, and met Marla and Jenell's family up there to pick out a Christmas tree. We walked long and hard for "the perfect" tree. haha. Thankfully my mom watched Catherine back at the house. Caden had a lot of fun though, but I did have to carry him at times because the snow was so deep and slippery. After going over at least two hills and caverns we found it!! YAY I think it is beautiful! The rest of the time we just hung out with family and got to express how grateful we are for family! I Love my Family and I am SO grateful for them all!
After all of that we were able to come home to our quiet little apartment that we call home and set up all of our Christmas decorations and tree as our own little family! I am so grateful for my wonderful, caring, and hard working husband and also for my fun, loving, good kids! I am So blessed!
