December is a very busy month! Getting ready for Christmas!!! Yay love Christmas, especially with kids!!! At the beginning of the month we had our ward Christmas party! That was fun to get dressed up for but sadly we couldn't stay long enough to see santa. The party started at 6:30, we had to leave early to take the kids home for bed before santa came! :( The first weekend in December we had a family date night to celebrate the Christmas month! We went out to eat for dinner at chick-fil-a because Chris had coupons from work that allowed us to get two free meals! Love it! We then went to the festival of lights at thanksgiving point! That was pretty awesome and Caden loved it!! The next weekend we spent the night at the Clayton's house celebrating our kirtland reunion! It was us, the Clayton's and the Lundgren's that were able to come but it was a lot of fun catching up with us all together! I made Lots of pumpkin bread to give to friends and family! I also worked on another big order of boards to deliver down in millard county area. So the following weekend we went down to meadow, just a quick short trip but fun! We left on friday and got down there just in time for the woman's varsity basketball game. Sadly Emma only got just a couple of minutes of playing time. But we will take what we can get! We spent that night at Marla's house, and had fun playing darts with Kyle! The next morning we delivered boards and then left to head home. We got home by noon, so really quick trip only because no one was home to hang out with! haha oh well. The week of Christmas was a fun week! Chris was home practically all week! Catherine had her dr.'s appointment! Two days before Christmas we celebrated our Christmas Eve just because the actual Christmas Eve we were celebrating at Uncle Kevin's house. So for our Christmas Eve I made a nativity scene so we could tell the story to Caden. Caden and Catherine opened their presents...PJs!!! We had a breakfast quiche for dinner that night and then we got Catherine to bed. After getting Catherine to bed we did a very special movie night for Caden! We were all in our new PJs and all cuddled on the couch and had popcorn and watched the old version of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer! Such a fun night but Caden was very upset when it was time to go to bed! haha. Like I said we did Christmas Eve at Uncle Kevin's where we had a wonderful dinner and then played the traditional White Elephant gift exchange! My gift that I brought was a helmet that held pop on both sides with straws and Chris brought a brand new in the box never been opened ice cream maker! Both of these gifts we found at DI!! haha love it! It was a fun night especially with Grandma Elaine there! The gifts that we ended up with is: Chris got a virtual phone thing that you look into, I got a knife set for Chris (almost got the money jack pot this year...next year), and Caden got a nice fussy rabbit blanket! Christmas Day was lots of fun! After opening stockings we started on our big pile of presents! We spent the whole morning opening gifts! Caden got WAY TOO MUCH! But it was a lot of fun! We even had to stop part way through to go eat breakfast! haha Some of the things that Caden got for Christmas: little vaccume, Big stuffed animal dog, wood train set, basketball hoop and ball, blocks, pjs, tent with tunnel, backpack, and from grandma and grandpa Huntington he got some nice church clothes, and some fancy dish set for his kitchen! Catherine got: a vibrating toy, pjs, socks, toys, and from grandma and grandpa Huntington she got really cute clothes, a tiger talking ball, and a roll a ball down a slide toy! Caden liked all of her toys just as much as she did! haha I got: a popcorn maker with curnals, a nice running shirt, a big griddle, and a thing to hold my phone in the car. Chris got: a whip that I made him, cologne, shirts, movie, and a nurf gun set to play with Caden...I kind of regret that gift because they attack me! haha but Caden loves it too, so I guess it is worth it! :) Later that day we facetimed with grandma and grandpa Huntington while the kids opened the gifts from them! They loved it! The rest of that day and the rest of the month we spent playing with new toys and lots of playing in the snow!! We had so much fun this month and what a great way to end the Year!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! Catherine: 9 months old
Catherine's 9 month Dr. appointment: weight: 18 lb. 5 oz. 52%. Length: 28 in 64%. Head: 44 cm 54%
She is eating what ever we eat now...as long as it is soft food of coarse!! Yay I love when it gets to this point. She is a really good eater too! She pretty much eats whatever I put on her tray!
Her schedule hasn't changed much! Still two naps! and she normally sleeps from 8pm to 7-8am! She also takes really good naps!
I can't believe it, she is already trying to walk! So far she has only taken just a couple of steps...kind of falling steps haha but they count!
She loves to give kisses! It is really cute. I will say "give mommy kisses" she will lean in with her mouth open wide! haha
I feel like all this month she has been working on teething her two top front teeth! I thought for sure that she would get them for Christmas but still nothing!
She is such a climber!! I can't believe this crazy girl! She is so opposite from Caden! She just can't hold still and is definitely not a cuddler. She is very busy and gets bored very easy! She likes attention! Wow! Cant wait to see what she is like when she is older!
Church is a nightmare with her!! She cannot hold still! It is very exhausting!
She has been finding new noises to make! very funny
I love it when her and Caden are laughing together! So fun! But there are also times when she is fussy over every little thing Caden does to her! That becomes very tiring.
She still LOVES the curtains! I don't know why but she finds them really entertaining!
She absolutely loves the stairs and she thinks it is so funny to have me chase her up! haha
Caden: 2 1/2 years old
He is talking a lot better! Coming slowly but at least it is getting better! It is frustrating sometimes when he is trying to tell us something and we can't figure it out! Frustrating for him too!
He loves songs...right now his favorite is Hallelujah! Like father like son!!! Seriously!
Funny Caden stories:
We were helping him say the prayer and told him to say "thank you that dad drove home safely"....for safely he said "wee wee" haha I really had to work hard at not laughing in the middle of the prayer. haha
