The Huntington Family: August 2015

Aug. 7th- Aug. 12th.
We all met at this cabin at Grande Mesa in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. We went fishing and four wheeling almost every day. There were TONS of fish but we weren't having the best luck of catching them! But we did catch some!! The scenery was Fantastic! I love the mountains! The Cabin was Awesome! It had a hot tub on the porch which was super nice and relaxing. We celebrated Grandma Kathy and Aunt Amber Wright's Birthday. We had cake, piñata, and Kaitlyn had Really fun minute to win it games! We got caught in a couple rain storms where we had to stay in our vehicles while we were at the lake attempting to fish. One day we went to a lake and for lunch we cooked hot dogs over a fire. We always look forward to these family gatherings. I have been so blessed to marry into such a Wonderful family! Love you all. Thanks Kerry and Kathy for putting this together!!

Yay I caught one!!!

Here we are waiting for the rain to stop! It lasted a lot longer than expected! We ended up serving lunch out of the back of our van. We put all the seats down and took the middle sections out so we could move around the van better. I love our van! We even made a bed in the back so I could lay down with Caden and Catherine for naps. The funniest part was watching Kaitlyn running around outside trying to figure out where to go to the bathroom!! haha She looked like a chicken with its head cut off! haha

Eventually they just decided to embrace the rain and go four wheeling. Caden loved it!

This month we went to Colorado and stayed in a cabin for the Huntington reunion, went to Tiffany's wedding reception, Ashley Freeman's homecoming, lunch picnic at park with the Wrights, waterpark with the Whittiers, had a BBQ at our house with some of Chris's buddies from work, had another BBQ with the Claytons, had a ward party, Fathers and sons, Dessert party with work buddies, and a traditional FHE at Aunt Linda's! WOW so fun!!

Catherine:

Aug. 3rd- Gave her solids in a bottle for her first time. I was very excited thinking that it would help her sleep solidly through the night....It did nothing! That night she still needed to be flipped to her tummy at 12am and she woke up to eat around 4:30am.
She isn't too consistent with her night schedule! There will be some nights where she will sleep clear until 7am. Other nights I have to flip her once in the night and she will wake up wanting to eat at 5am. but she will eat and go right back to sleep until 8. It really isn't that bad, I know! My favorite though is when she sleeps until 6, eats, and then goes back to sleep until 9!!
Her day time schedule is fairly consistent. It gets kind of thrown off when we go do stuff but for the most part it is: wake and eat sometime between7-9. Usually down for morning nap around 9:30-10am. Wakes and eats at 11-12am. Goes down for a nap around 12:30-1. Wakes and eats around 2-3. Goes down for last nap usually around 3-3:30. Wakes around 5 Eats. Stays awake until bedtime at 8. I usually give her a bath around 7:30 get her ready for bed and feed her a 7 oz bottle that has three scoops of formula and 5T. of rice. She loves that! In the day time she has been eating around 4-6 oz of formula.
Towards the beginning of this month she found her feet! She loves playing with her feet and sometimes even sucks her feet.
She is very coordinated with her hands. She loves to play with toys now....everything gets put into her mouth. My favorite is when she reaches out with both hands towards my face. So cute.
She also loves being in her Exersaucer! She is finally tall enough to turn herself in it. I really want to get her a bouncer, I think she would go crazy in it!
I mentioned last month that she has been laughing. Well it is sometimes really hard for Chris or I to get her to laugh, we really have to work hard at it. But Caden on the other hand can get her to laugh so easy. He just has to look at her and start laughing and then she starts to laugh! Cutest thing ever!!!

Caden:

Definitely have not started potty training yet! I think he is ready, but I am not! There is just way too much going on! I am hoping that either November or December will be less busy!
I have been trying to teach him Colors lately and I think he is catching on. The other day I was giving catherine a bath and had left all the towels on the couch because I had just washed them. There were probably about 6 towels on the couch, all of different colors. I asked caden to go get me the brown towel and bring it to me. Sure enough, He DID IT!!! I was actually really impressed that 1. he got the right color and 2.He actually brought it to me!!! Smart boy!
He is still so good with Catherine! He just LOVES her! he will play with her and talk with her! He lets me know when she is awake and crying by saying, "gaga Whaa whaa(cry)" haha. Every now and then he asks to hold her.
His best friend that he absolutely loves to play with is Eli Whittier!

At the park with Coulsen, Amber, and Briton. Caden enjoyed playing with his cousin! We enjoyed a nice little picnic after they played!

Catherine and Grace!! SOOOO glad that the Claytons are back for good in Utah!! Missed you guys!

Fathers and Sons!!! Chris and Caden went to Heath's ward fathers and sons because they had missed our ward's. They had a lot of fun! Caden Absolutely loves playing with Eli! Caden stayed up until 9:30 until him and Chris went to bed together. Caden went right to sleep. Chris said that he woke up at about 7am and just sat up and said "DAD!!!" haha I think that he was surprised that dad stayed there with him. Chris said that Caden hardly moved the entire night! He was exhausted!
