October 2014

This was a very busy and eventful month! Towards the middle of the month grandma and grandpa Huntington came to visit us and we did a lot of fun things with them. We went to an Arboretum, to a drive through zoo, and to a beautiful light house on the coast. After they left towards the end of the month Caden and I flew to Chicago to stay with Christine and Sam while the boys drove to a BYU football game. Once we got back from that we had our ward Halloween party.

We had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa here. They will never know just how much that it meant to us for them to come. Some how they came when I was needing them the most too! So Grandma and Grandpa Huntington, Thank You!! We all love you both So so much!!! Caden Loved playing with Grandma and Grandpa. He also liked putting Grandma's glasses on!

While Chris was at work, we went and picked apples from an orchard and we went to the Holden Arboretum. It was a lot of fun seeing all of the different leafs. Grandma Loves leafs!! :) It was so beautiful with all the leafs changing colors!

Caden loved walking on the little walls!!

That weekend, we drove about 2 hours to stay the night in a hotel so the next day we could go to this drive through African Safari and the Most photographed light house. After driving we went out to dinner at this not so good Mexican restaurant that I had chosen!! That's what they get for having me pick haha.  I didn't think that it was too bad, of coarse being pregnant and SO hungry anything would taste good to me. Chris wasn't feeling good the whole drive there so he didn't eat dinner....i guess he didn't miss out. Caden had a rough time going to bed at the hotel but did eventually fall asleep. The next morning Chris was feeling way sick. His stomach was hurting him pretty bad. I have never seen him like that. And it didn't help with the whole Ebola thing going on, which only added to Chris stressing more! Well, his dad ended up giving him a blessing which helped tremendously. It helped not only with his stomach but also with all of the things that he had been stressing about. With all that going on, we still had a good time on this trip. The African Safari was fun, but it was cold so not all the animals were out...that was a bummer. Their rental car got pretty slobbered on haha!

We then went to the light house which was very cold and there was crazy enough a wedding going on outside the light house!! But the light house was very pretty!! Caden just enjoyed getting out of the car and being able to run around a bit!! After the light house we went and got some really yummy pizza(made up for the night before) before driving back home!

Caden misses you Grandma and Grandpa!!!
When it was time for them to head to the airport to leave, Caden could tell that they were about to leave. He started getting really attachy to them both! He kept wanting Grandma to hold him. He didn't even want to go to Me!! He started crying when they went out the door! It was so sad but also very cute! I love that he got to know them both! He loves grandma and grandpa so much, makes me happy!!

On October 29th-November 2nd,  Caden and I flew to Chicago to spend time with Christine and her boy Sam! At first I was really worried about going on this trip for three reasons: With the Ebola thing going on, I really didn't want to deal with the whole airport stuff, I was just getting over a cold that Chris had so kindly given to me and Caden, and plus Caden was and still is teething those dang Canines!! All good reasons for being worried about going but I am Really glad we did. It was a lot of fun spending time with our friends that we have missed SO So much since they have moved away from us to go to Chicago for work! Our husbands decided to meet up and go to the BYU football game in Tennessee! Those guys were crazy. Just to get there one way probably took them each a total of 13 hours of driving. They did however, split it up by staying the night at Ben's sister's house. I think they had fun and was worth it for them though...BYU won! Plus they got to meet up with a bunch of other friends from school.

This is on the flight to Chicago! I am So grateful it only takes an hour to get there. Makes for a really quick flight. Caden was so good...My water bottle gave me more problems than what Caden did! haha. I forgot about the air pressure and when I went to open my water...It started squirting me right in the eye!! Totally surprised me! Luckily I had the whole row to myself, otherwise the people next to me would have hated me! I finally got it closed and silly me tried round 2. It did the same thing! After getting over the shock of it getting me right in the eye again, I quickly put it in my mouth!! Wow, talk about exciting! Other than that, everything went really smooth!
During our stay, we decided that it would be best not to venture into the city with these two teething boys, it wouldn't have been worth it! So we mostly stayed around their apartment. We went to parks, the Library, and the children's museum! The Library turned out to be a total Bust! These boys were being crazy! They were both teething, cranky, not listening to anything we say, and feeding off of each others bad behavior. To make a long story short, we stayed for maybe 15 or so min before we packed them up and took them straight back to Christine's place! We were done going places for that day!! We were exhausted and ready for a break!
Sammy and Caden are such good friends! I love watching them play together! They have a love/hate relationship! haha One minute they are hugging each other(or trying to anyway), and the next they are pushing or hitting! They were so happy to see each other again!! Made me so happy that they remembered each other!

At a park!

At a Metro Park!!

They loved playing in the leafs at the metro park!

Some animals that they have at the park! Left-Bald Eagle   Right- Coyote

They had fun playing in this log cabin house thing until fingers started getting shut in the windows and doors! By that point it was time to take them back for lunch!

At the Children's Museum!!!!
I thought this place was Awesome! Caden might have been a little young, but he still had fun exploring all the different things. I wish I could have gone to a children's museum when I was younger, I would have been in Heaven!!

In the science room!

Car Room!

Music Room! A bit overwhelming! haha so much noise
Building place!

Fun Technology place!

Bath Time! For once, Caden didn't like bath time and sam was loving it! Still happened to get a smile out of Caden though for the picture.

I love both of these boys! So glad they are friends!

Early morning snuggles!!

Caden Loved playing the piano!! Look at that posture too!!....Sam, um, well... you need to sit up a bit! haha

Happy Halloween!!
Getting ready to take them Trick or Treating!!

So So SO Cute!!!!
Our little monkey and puppy!

They were successful!! Look at all that Candy!! Good job Caden! His first time trick or treating! He was confused at first and would get upset that we weren't going into the houses that we were knocking on. But he eventually got the idea and was liking it...even though it was really cold!  He especially liked being the one to knock on the doors, so cute! Thanks for getting me all that Candy for me to eat!! :) He did get some fruit snacks that he Loved! I think both him and Sam got a little hyper off of them! haha
Caden and I miss you Christine and Sam!!!
Thanks for letting us come! You are a wonderful friend that I miss so much! So glad that we have a friendship with you guys the way we do! Priceless!! Your turn to come see us!!! :)
