Caden: 15 months old
- He is starting to look and act more and more like a toddler instead of my little baby! sniff sniff!! He is definitely a joy and a blessing to have in our lives! He keeps us on our toes and keeps us laughing!
- Caden still loves my phone. He likes to jibber jabber in it like he is talking to someone. He also pretends that the controls and other stuff shaped like that are a phone.
- I am finding random things in random places all the time. Luckily I know where his favorite hiding places are otherwise I wouldn't be able to find my phone!
- This boy loves to climb!! Climbs on the couches, bed, chairs, all over us, and even climbs into his stroller all by himself. One morning he was suspiciously quiet so I went into the kitchen to see what he was up to....He had pulled a chair out from under the table, used the chair to climb onto the table. I found him sitting on the table eating from a cereal box!!! haha
- I love it when he laughs!!! Even when I am tired, when he laughs, I can't help but smile or even laugh also!! He has the cutest laugh!
- I also love his snuggles!! When he gets tired, he will grab his blanky and come sit with me! In the morning I can get him to lay down next to me for about a half hour....This is only done with baby Einstein though, haha. But I will take it! Plus I get to sleep in for an extra 30 min!
- He loves to read books! Well, us reading to him! But he has most of them memorized! Chris and I definitely do!
- Caden loves to be outside!! Either going for a walk or just going out to play, it does not matter. He used to crawl up into his stroller when he wanted to go for a walk. Now I try and have him walk on his own. So now when he wants to go outside he will go bang on the sliding door.
- He loves going to the park. He loves the swing, but only sitting on my lap spider style. He loves practicing going up and down the stairs like a big boy. He loves going down the slide. Just the other day he figured out how to go down normally without having to go on tummy! He thought that was the greatest thing. Him and I would race up the stairs to the slides and go down together. He was laughing and thought it was so much fun. But his most favorite thing to do at the park is play in the sand! Drives me nuts sometimes because he gets sand everywhere on him! But he loves it so I let him do it! Boys will be boys!!
- He especially loves going to the park when his buddy Sam is there! Within the past couple months Caden has finally started interact and play more with other kids. But he mostly just loves to play with Sam! Sadly The Claytons moved!!! But before they moved it was so fun watching Caden and Sam play. They would kind of play this tag game. One would run up to the other and start laughing and then run away while the other did the same thing after. SO so cute!! Why did they have to leave us!!! Poor Caden, probably gets so bored of me!
- When the Claytons left I was really sad and cried some! I don't think Caden has ever seen me cry! He was so concerned. But what he did next was the most precious thing ever! Makes me want to cry just thinking about how loving and caring he is! He saw how sad I was and went and brought me his blanky. after handing me his blanky, he climbed up on my lap and gave me hugs, resting his head on my shoulder. He stayed that way for the longest time!! I think he stayed like that just giving me snuggles until I pulled him back to say thank you. He then gave me a Big open mouth kiss! AWW I just love him SOO much!! I really needed all of that!!
- He Loves animals of all kinds. He gets so excited when he sees one. He especially Loves dogs. He will point his finger and go "da da da" either that or just "uh uh uh". He gets so excited to go see the dog, but as soon as we get close enough to touch it he gets scared. But lately he has been doing better. He will pet them and get so excited doing it! We just have to make sure the dogs head is not by Caden! That is the part that scares him!! We have 7 horses in the field behind us and every time they come by our door, Caden will get so excited and start banging on the door. When we get out there I usually make a kissing noise to get them to come to us. So funny, Caden has picked up on that and now makes a kissing noise every time we see the horses! We love to feed them carrots!
- With reading him all of these animal books, he is getting pretty good with making all the animal noises. My favorites that he does is the wolf, lion, and fish!!!
- As far as saying words....He definitely has "Da" (for Dad. "ma" for mom. Sometime he will do "dog" just without the g sound for dog. "Ba" and "Da" he uses for most things so it is hard to tell. He Loves saying Dad though. One morning when Caden woke up and we were still in bed, Caden started saying this really loud, "DAaa...DAAaaa, DA" as if he was saying Dad Come and get me!!! haha Chris loved it! He went and got him right away, I think that made his whole day! He mostly just says mom when he wants something or is sad! For Amen he says "Ba".
- He has been pointing and grunting for things he wants a lot lately.
- For prayers we will say fold your arms. Instead of folding he just quickly claps his hands together. haha doesn't last long, but at least he is learning.
- As far as food goes, He still loves it! He just eats whatever we eat. And he has started eating his cereal with a spoon all by himself. Messy but nice that I don't have to do that for him. He loves feeding himself. He even doesn't like me breaking his bread up into bite size pieces anymore, he like to eat it like a big boy! Less work for me!
- I keep thinking that this boy will eventually stop growing but he seems to keep slowly growing! Not sure what he weighs, probably about 34 still but he is now into size 2T-4T clothes! Pants are till at 24 months.
- He is Soo dang strong!!! I have some 3 pound weights that he can lift one in each hand and even lift above his head!! makes me nervous though, I am afraid he will drop it on his head or toes! The other night we was practically doing a leg press with most of Chris's body weight!! Crazy strong boy!! I think he knows that he is strong and loves it, because he will lift up his big dump truck and be grunting like it is heavy and waits for me to give him a response like "Oh you are so Strong, WOW!" haha It always amazes me how he can open and shut the sliding glass door. That thing is pretty heavy and hard to push open!
- He loves to do things that we do. Even blowing my nose, he wanted to do it too! Ok, great, I finally can get those boogers without him throwing a fit! He pretty much likes to do everything that his dad does! Including facial expressions! His personality is becoming more and more like Chris's. It is so fun to see him develop into such a fun person.
- I love his smiles! and he smiles so easily!! all you got to do is smile at him and he will usually smile back. Unless he doesn't know you, then he will give you a bashful, shy smile while ducking his head into me!
- He has a love/hate relationship with the vacuum! He hates it when it is on, but loves to play with it when it is off. When it is on I have to put him on the coach with his blanky and puppy and he will stay like that the whole time just sucking his thumb. As soon as I turn it off he gets so excited and comes running to the vacuum to play with it. One day as while I was vacuuming and he was sitting on the coach like normal, I looked at him and he was dozing off to sleep, doing the little head bob!! haha I didn't even know he was tired and ready for bed! haha
- He is teething again!!!! AHHH He is working on the Canines! These I think are the worst! He has been waking up, being super cranky, very needy and whiny. Can't wait until they are done and then all we have left are the two year molars!! yay But it has definitely been working on my patience. He is tolerable until it comes to eating. Which is really weird and sad because he used to eat so so well and content. We started giving him a spoon and he loved it and does so well. But as of lately he gets frustrated, even if there is nothing to get frustrated about because he is doing great with the spoon. But he will get mad and throw the spoon with food on it and starts swiping everything that is on his tray off!!! Oh man, I have to take a deep breath and just grab his hands and look him straight in the eye and calmly tell him That we do Not do that! He has just been so weird! I don't know what his deal is. I think and hope it is just his teeth. But lunch time he is just fine, probably because he doesn't get a spoon, it is all just finger food. So now for breakfast and dinner I have been sitting there watching him with my full attention and if I notice him getting the least bit frustrated I am there to stop it before he starts swiping and hitting! Crazy boy. One Canine is through, came in about on sept. 28th. The other top one is almost there.
We went to a orchard and picked some apple! Loved it, made us feel like we were at home!

Took the Clayton's family Pictures!
Out on our weekly Sunday walks

Last weekend we went on a little family Trip!! We took Caden Camping and to the Zoo for his First time!!! It was all a very interesting trip because Caden was teething those dang Canines! So...It wasn't quite what we had in mind but it was still a lot of fun to get out and do something like that. For us this was definitely not real camping, more like "glamping", but it was better than nothing. We definitely was expecting something a lot different for our camp site. We knew it was a family friendly camp site, which is what we wanted, but we were expecting it to be right next to these really nice ponds, with lots of space and trees. Just something that you would expect in camping. Well, we were next to a pond, but it was a very mossy pond and when we first showed up to our spot, we were very shocked! We felt like we were camping in someones back yard! There were Camp trailers and we could see houses! There were power lines right above where we were going to camp. Not Real Camping! There were tons of people that have set up there trailers to be like there house to live there. They had christmas lights up and built porches up against their trailer. It was just all really strange and foreign to Chris and I. Luckily we walked around some and found a little bit more of a secluded spot, but it too was on mowed grass right behind a little playground. I think Caden was feeling out of place or probably his teeth were bothering him, because he just wanted to be held the whole time and was really whiny! After we were finally able to get dinner going and tent set up, we were able to relax some. But we didn't really relax until we got Caden to sleep, sadly. Which on the positive note, he did go to sleep fairly well. I just wish we would have dressed him warmer. But at the time we put him to sleep it was really hot. But by 10pm, it started getting really cold and we were really worried that Caden was going to get too cold. That worry made it so we couldn't sleep very well, every movement or noise that Caden made we heard and made us even more worried. Probably around 11:30 we brought him into bed with us. But eventually I think Caden got too hot because he started tossing and turning and eventually ended up on top of Chris and slept that way for about an hour. Around 1am we finally decided it would be best to put him back in his packn'play. I couldn't believe it was only 1am. I thought, "Dang, this is going to be a LOng night". Luckily we all slept from then on till the morning until we brought him in with us around 7am! He was being so funny that morning. He was watching us yawn and then he would do a fake yawn. haha so funny. Well we finally got going on breakfast and got everything packed by about 10am. We wanted to try some fishing before we left! The fishing was a complete fail!! NO fish, Caden just wanted to get into that freezing nasty water, and was throwing a fit because we wouldn't let him, had to hold him, eventually just gave up and left!! Can't wait to camp in Real mountains with lakes!!! We miss the west!!

ZOO TIME!!! I think we were all looking forward to the zoo. And it ended up being way better than what we imagined! It made the whole trip worth it in my opinion. It was a smaller zoo that had almost every animal imaginable, except for elephants and giraffes. It was a walk through petting zoo! You could even buy food to give to the animals! I really enjoyed seeing all the animals. We especially thought that it was soo cool that we got to be about three feet away from lions and tigers. We even heard the lions roar. That was actually kind of scary! haha They are loud and huge! There was even a white tiger there!! Such a fun zoo, sadly Caden was extremely tired by this point and just kind of sat there in his stroller observing. He usually gets so excited when he sees animals, even if it is just a squirrel or a bird! But it was fun for Chris and I!! After the zoo we left to go get lunch and then head home. Caden was so so tired that he fell asleep while eating some bagel! haha It was a fun short trip, but I am glad that we went!! We are creating memories and that is what is important!
