Caden: 11 months old
- We love going to the park and just being outside. The swing I think gives him the butterflies in his stomach because he tenses up every time on the down part and laughs. haha He loves going down the slide too. This kids has no fear!!! Scares me because if I am not watching him carefully he will just go head first down the slide!
- Caden is wanting to do a lot more on his own now.
- He loves to walk around while holding onto things. and he is now becoming more brave about letting go and standing solo for a few seconds. It is so cute to watch. He gets so excited about it that he starts clapping but then that makes him fall down.
- One day when we was holding onto my pants so that he wouldn't fall. I started to walk and he kept on walking with me while holding onto my legs. It was so funny.
- He has discovered that things go inside containers. He was so entertained about putting his wood blocks in this container. That was nice for me because it kept him occupied, but sadly that doesn't last too long before he is off trying something else out.
- One day Caden was playing with his friend Sam. Caden thought that it was so funny to offer a toy to Sam and right when Sam went to grab it Caden would pull it away. HE WAS TEASING Sam!! that little stinker. I told Chris about it and HE LAUGHED and said that he taught him that! Man! I told Chris No! haha we need to teach him to share! not tease! I know exactly what Sam must have felt. I get teased all the time by Chris!! haha
- So YES, I have taught Caden to share. He will share with me and daddy but we are still working on him sharing with Sam! He thinks it is funny now to give it to me and then I will give it back!
- Caden Definitely knows Daddy and Mommy now! He will say "dadadadad" as he goes crawling to Dad!
- I love seeing Caden's reaction when daddy comes home! He gets so excited and goes crawling over to dad with the biggest smile! Chris says that he looks forward to that all day!
- We taught Caden to give kisses! It is sooo cute. Dad will say "give mommy kisses" and then Caden will lean towards me with his mouth wide open to give me a big wet kiss on the mouth! and then I will say "now give dad kisses" and he will do it for him too. So fun that he knows which is mommy and daddy. I think Caden thinks that he has to give kisses when we say to now. Because there has been times when we tell him to give us kisses and he will do it but his body language and expression is like he is saying "oh man (pout pout pout)...if I have to" haha He thinks it is funny when we do Eskimo kisses.
- He thinks that it is funny to put his hat on and then take it off and try and put it on my head. He also loves to play peek a boo with us now, especially when I am changing him he will pull his pants over his head and then move them and smile as if he is the one saying "Peek a boo"
- He loves trying to put the cap back on his bottle when he is done with it. That usually keeps him occupied for a bit.
- I just love watching him play. He usually plays really well by himself. I especially like watching him play with his cars. He makes the cutest car noises! I wish I new what he was thinking when he is playing.
- His big milestone is Waving BYE! It is so fun! He waves bye to anyone we tell him to! Today he got a big kick at waving to himself in the mirror!! I love it!
- When he dances he dances with his hands. I think it is because of the chorister leader at church. But is is funny he has a toy that makes music that he knows how to get it to play. He will make it play and then look over at us to make sure we are dancing too and then he smiles and does it again while he is dancing too.
- Oh boy Church!! Church is the worst!!! Now that Chris is up on the stand, he gets to watch me struggle alone with this wiggly baby. I swear that he gets the most wiggly during sacrament of all times. I am so worn out from trying to entertain him so much by the time church is over....don't get hardly anything out of the lessons. Oh well at least we are there trying. One Sunday during the passing of the sacrament I thought that I would try and give him some of the water. haha oh dear....every sip he took he spit it out and then on the last sip he sucked in the cup into his mouth. So I tried to get it out. I finally got it but it flicked out, sending spit and water all over me and the family sitting next to me. We were all trying so hard to not laugh. I looked up and saw that the bishop was doing his best not to laugh as well!! haha Oh boy, we are a spirit killer! He also laughed during the prayer and started growling that Sunday too!
- Caden has figured out how to open just about anything! The drawers, the dishwasher, THE OVEN, etc. AW I am fine with him doing that except for the oven! That scares me! and there is not lock on it. At least the dishwasher I can lock but then he figured out how to turn the nob to turn it on on my nice clean dry dishes! silly silly boy!
- Well with all this energy at least he still will snuggle with me every now and them! I love those times when I am laying on the ground and he come and lays his head on me and starts sucking his thumb!! So cute!
- I don't know why but every time we go out the front door to leave he gets so excited that he will laugh out loud with excitement! I guess that shows how much we get out of the house!
- He loves looking in mirrors. Yesterday he was having so much fun looking at himself in the mirror. He was laughing, clapping, and waving "bye, bye" at himself. It was so cute and funny!
- We love Caden so much! He is So much fun and very entertaining!
At the Library with Christine and Sam for story time.
