November 1st. We did a family date with the Claytons and went out to eat at Mama Robertos because the men both bought Groupons to go there! I called in and reserved 4 seats. When we got there they were mad because we had 6 people including the 2 babies! So they got us seated and Chris and Ben started asking about the Groupon deal and they said only one could be used per table, even if we were on seperate checks. We all thought that was rediculous and tried to talk sense into them. The manager snapped and said "you got to have rules"! They would only let us use them if we got seperate tables! Ben went and told her that she is loosing 6 customers for life!! She then kicked us out and said that we better not be threatening! haha I found it all to be very funny!
We have been loving the path right by our apartments! We got on lots of walks and we enjoy the fall time with all the leafs!
November 18th. So the month of November was a fun and exciting month. Caden has changed in many ways this month. Caden is 5 months old! The big news is that he got his first tooth!! (bottom middle) I was wondering why he was being a little more fussy and very needy. It surprised us when I got Caden out of bed and saw a Tooth!! He got it on November 23rd, Our Anniversary!!! More updates on Caden are as follows: He has been smiling and laughing a lot more. I love that he will laugh when I tickle him on his sides. He also smiles back at me when I smile at him....melts my heart. :) He talks a ton and squeals this very high pitch every now and then, takes me by surprise. He likes to blow his tongue, which causes spit and drool to go everywhere. This drooling is a never ending deal. He still hasn't rolled over, however there have been times where he has come close. I don't know, maybe he will just go straight to crawling...or even walking. He loves to play in his stand up toy saucer thing. He just loves to be standing. So we bought him a bouncy thing that connects to the door frame for Christmas, I think that he is going to love it. It is really funny to watch him kick. He loves to kick and that is how we know he is awake in the morning. If we don't hear him talking, then we hear the thuds of both of his feet raising up high and then crashing them down onto the mattress. Mornings are great because he will just lay there in bed for the longest time just talking and playing by himself and then when we go to pick him up out of bed he gets so excited that he smiles really big and starts kicking like crazy!! The tub used to be his favorite place to kick the most but he hasn't been doing that as much because the water he splashes up onto himself scares him...he doesn't even like it when I ring out water onto his tummy, he will make this panicked noise with a scared face. However, he is starting to enjoy sitting up in the tub and splashing with his hands and playing with the toys. I am excited that he can sit up that way he can sit and open presents! He also loves to play with his feet. kind of funny, while I am holding his feet up while I change him he will suck on his toes. Now when I lay him down to change him he automatically picks his legs up for me like saying "ok I am ready for you to change me now". He still sucks his thumb. One time he was sucking it so hard that he gave himself a hickey on his thumb. haha poor boy. Not sure when i should start discouraging the thumb sucking...I like it, makes him go to sleep on his own easy. Caden has also been experiencing lots of new foods. He loves food. I can't wait for the day when I no longer have to puree the food.
November 23rd. Chris and I had our anniversary. We have been married for 3 years now! Wow time is just flying by!! We celebrated a few days after our anniversary by going to see the movie Catching Fire!! We both loved it. We were so into it that the monkey completely scared both of us. haha On our actual anniversary Chris went to the Notre Dame football game against BYU with a bunch of his buddies and spent the night. Unfortunately it was freezing and not too exciting because they lost pretty bad! Caden and I got to spend the day and night with the other wives. It was a lot of fun. We did everything that a girl loves and that boys don't....Hair, shopping, and chick-flick! It was fun having a sleepover with three babies under the age of 1 haha! We thought it would be a great idea to have the boys take a bath together. It actually wasn't the best idea...Caden loves to kick and splash, well he splashed Sam and scared Sam. Sam started to cry which got Caden to cry. Bath time didn't last very long! Luckily they all slept really well.
Taylor is the other baby at girls night sleepover. This will be the only time that I give permission to have a girl on top of you Caden!!! haha it was too cute, they were both playing with the same toy!

November 28th. Happy Thanksgiving! We got invited to the Moss's house along with a bunch of others from the ward. All the kids were playing with the Nerf guns haha! It was so nice to be in a home! So grateful for them for inviting us!
Well, our tree is up and got Caden his own Stocking, we are REady for Christmas!! Can't wait to go home to Utah for Christmas!! I am excited for my family and friends to meet Caden and to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary! |
