Caden's Blessing Day

 We blessed Caden at Chris's parents house. That was a very special time. We started off with singing Caden's song....We'll bring the World His Truth. This song totally describes Caden and whenever I sing it to him he will calm down and listen. He likes it!! Both of our dads then spoke some wonderful things about Caden and then the grandmas. The whole blessing and everything was a very special and spiritual moment. We are so blessed to have Caden in our lives. I was so grateful that my parents could make it especially since they just announced that they will be serving a mission!

Grandpa Freeman:

"Greg Rasmussen was telling me about the church spending so much on missionary work. He said they were cutting back on the building program, but spending millions on the missionary program. It made me feel that this is the great "last push" before the Savior comes. Made me wonder who Caden Really is. In my thinking I figure he has come to one of the best parents in the kingdom! He came to the Promised Land! He came at this time when the world is Struggling! At a time when the Lord needs His "strong ones"! So I wonder, just who is Caden? I get a feeling that it is a privilege to hold him and get special feelings! 

Grandma Freeman:

"I felt really impressed to talk about how special it is to be a mother. It is not easy and there are a lot of pain to bring these little ones into this earth. The Lord is mindful of the sacrifices it is and has promised many blessings to us. Thank goodness we have been blessed to gorget some of the experience, the Lord knows what he is doing in all things. I am so grateful for the priesthood at the head of the home. That as mothers is shared in this priesthood. It is all in a good balance." 

Grandpa Huntington:

Spoke about Caden's middle name Reed and where his name came from. It is Kerry's Dad's name... Fred Reed Huntington, but he always went by Reed. 

Grandma Huntington: 

Mentioned how special it was when she got to come stay with us in Ohio. She said that you could feel the spirit in our home. She especially enjoyed having FHE with us. 

Chris and I:

We shared about the blessings/ miracle we received bringing him into this world. I feel that Caden was excited to come to our family. I also think he was smiling down and excited when Chris and I got married in the temple because at home we have our wedding pictures on the wall that he looks at all the time. He will just stare at them for a long time. I think he knows who the pictures are. He has pretty much done this since he was born. Chris and I also felt their (our children) presence as we were getting sealed over the alter.

This was a very special blessing that Caden received from the Lord through his dad Chris! Things that stood out:

He will be a valiant missionary. People will be drawn to you. You will be a leader and example to others. You will be a good example to your brothers and sisters who will come to our family. You will be a friend to those around you. You will bring the spirit into our home, the spirit will be with you. Being a missionary at all time, not just when you're on your mission.
