August 2013

This month was super crazy busy! Chris being gone for three weeks, Jenell coming and staying for 2 weeks, going to Colorado and Virginia! Here is a little update on Caden: I can't believe Caden is 2 months old already!!!!   He is definitely becoming more alert of things going on around him and is smiling alot more. I love how he will watch me as I walk around the room now! He is such a good boy and a joy to have in our lives. He is still eating so much, around 6-8 oz.  but sleeping so well at night. The past few nights he has slept about 10 hours straight!!  We loved that!!! The first time he did that we woke up before he did and was scared. We thought something was wrong, but as I went in to check on him he was just starting to wake up!But he usually will wake up once in the middle of the night. At his two month appointment he is still in the 100% for everything. Weighed 16 lb 8 oz. Height of 25 inch.!! Big boy

July 21st- August 11th. Some of Chris's Lean Emersion adventures:
They had to be evacuated from their hotel in the middle of the night because someone burnt something on the stove creating lots of smoke.

Jenell arrived on July 27th and stayed with me for 2 weeks! She left on August 10th.
Chris was gone for 3 weeks and for the first week I was by myself with Caden. That was really hard, but luckily for the next two weeks my sister Jenell left her family to come stay with me. I am so grateful for her and the sacrifices she made to come stay with me. I love her so much!!!!Here are just a few pictures of the adventures I had with Jenell. We had a blast with activities to do every day and she was super good at reminding me to take lots of pictures. Definitely helped pass the time until Chris got back! Jenell and I are so much alike it is crazy! Love her! I had such a blast with Jenell!!  She was such a big help with Caden. She helped me to relax a lot more and learn to enjoy having a baby and not be so uptight with scheduling. We went swimming, lots of shopping, saw all of the church sites, went to the beach, and went to the amish country.

Took Jenell to all the Church sites:

John Johnson Farm

On our way back from the Farm we stopped at an amish chocolate store! Never seen so much chocolate! Yum

Went out to eat at the famous Scooters!

We went to the beach a couple of times! Here is the first time:

Went running and swimming together almost everyday:

She was a huge help with making dinners and helping take the morning shifts with Caden!

Second time at the Beach! We played sand volleyball! So much fun! Caden did so well to nap while we played!

We went to the Amish Country! Jenell is so awesome, she wanted to talk to the Amish people...well to make a long story short we ended up spending about two ours at this one Amish family's house. They took Jenell on a tour of their house and farm. They ended up giving us some of their home made real maple syrup! So random, but pretty awesome!

This little girl took Jenell everywhere! I think she was excited to show off her place!
Jenell loved every minute of it. This is how they wash clothes, Harvesting their oats! And of coarse Jenell wanted to help!

August 14th-18th
Once Chris was done with his 3 weeks of being gone for work. We met at the air port and flew together to Colorado. This was Caden's first time flying. He did so good! In Colorado we stayed with his family in a cabin in the Rocky Mountains at a YMCA camp. Only bummer was that Chris and I had to sleep in a bunk bed. Blah. However, everything else was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed playing all the sports that I haven't Really got to play in over 9 months! We played tennis, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, swimming, rock climbing, and frisbee golf. It was a lot of fun being with the family. There are now five kids under the age of two that were there. In the mountains, Amber Lynn Huntington was kind enough to take our family pictures that turned out Great! I love them! Our first family picture!!!

Man we have had something planned for every weekend!! It is fun being so busy, but it will be nice to actually relax. haha I can't believe how fast each week seems to fly by. At our last doctors appointment our dr. said that we could start introducing Caden to Solids at 4 months which is almost 1 month away!! I am so excited to start him on solids. Well the past few days Caden has been sleeping through the night!!! Usually he still wakes up once. He is such a good boy and I love him so much. Caden does so well in the mornings to watch me do Insanity. He usually gets his tummy time in during that time too! He is getting much stronger. We don't have to support his head any more and he can stand up with us holding him!! He has been smiling a lot now, it is so much fun!! Sadly he has bees sick for the past couple weeks. It was inevitable though, everyone at Chris's parents house were sick. Both Caden and I got sick, but Poor Caden still has a nasty cough.

Bath Time!!! Caden Loves taking baths!! It is so funny to watch hime, he just kicks like crazy in the water. He would stay in there forever if I let him. I usually end up taking him out after 30 min. though.

August 24th:  We spent most of the day at the Jones's house. We helped weed their garden and pick the vegetables. I am grateful to have Scott and Polly for friends, they are a lot of fun! We stayed and played a card game called Wicked with them. It was fun and it ended up that Scott and I tied for first and Polly and Chris tied for second! Caden did so well the entire time. Later that night we went out with the Jones's and the Bells to a little town next to the lake.
